The Jury is Still Out on This One

Purchased the XP800 in Mid-July and by late August I had a problem that required replacement. Up until that time, the printer worked beautifully and I was very happy, anticipating it's performance and long lasting service would match the other 4 Epson printers I have worn out over the years. It lasted just over a month before it quit printing text.
Epson replaced the printer, but at this time I can only rate the printer as average. If it continues to perform without any problems, I would give this model a 4 or 5.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not happy yet

I liked the fax and scan modes. The print mode is another story. I have yet to print a decent photo. The very expensive ink ran out in a week and I don't print very much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SET UP. NO MANUAL TO HELP YOU. WEBSITE TELLS YOU HOW TO SET UP IF NOTHING GOES WRONG. DOES NOT MENTION YOU NEED TO REG. PRODUCT TO USE WIRELESS PRINTING. THEN YOU NEED TO REG. AT EPSON CONNECT. WEB SITE TROUBLESHOOTING NO HELP.

XP premium 800 small in one

I bought this printer because I like the small size, and that it still does everything. I was worried I would need to ask a technician to come set it up with the wifi and AirPrint having read several reviews where people had problems. The instructions are very clear and I decided to try before calling a technician. I couldn't be more pleased! Everything went seamlessly and worked the first time! It works for the AirPrint or epson connect as well. No more running up and down the stairs to print where the printer is! It works perfectly and I would recommend it to anyone in need of such a printer and especially those who feel they are not that experienced to set it up themselves, it will likely build your confidence! Makes excellent photos (prints) too. I need to add I love the flat paper trays or cassettes no more crooked loaded paper and it goes through flat and straight the way it is supposed to. I despise those where paper is loaded vertically they frequently get jammed or wrinkled. These cassettes are a perfect solution!

Just purchased the EPSON XP-800 PRINTER
It is simply an outstanding printer. Ease of use gets a 10+. Great instructions ,including on screen graphics on each step of operation.. Print quality is outstanding. Direct printing to CD/ DVD is a breeze, again with displayed graphics showing how to print directly to discs. Software was great for each option the printer performs. Network setup was easy, the wireless, wired and USB was a snap. Faxing, Scanning and duplex printing are more great features. Not to be overlooked is the USB, and multi card reader. The direct printing on a DVD disc had professional results. Over all I would give the printer a rateing of seven stars if I could.

epson xp-800

this is my second epson printer. It is a handy size and easy to operate for a non-teckie. I also appreciate epson support. In Sept 2013 I bought a smaller printer to replace a larger all in one. After printing a few pages it began to jam the paper and nothing I did helped. Called epson and in 2 days had a new printer and love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have suffered through issues with many printers before I bought my new Epson. What a joy to hit a button and get a perfect print or photo without constant jamming or poor performance. I love this printer and recommend it highly!

Very Satisfied

I use a computer and printer moderately as my wife and I often print the food/restaurant coupons, and she uses it to keep track of her book lists at the library, plus recipes. In retirement I use it mostly for the one junior college class which I still teach. We have not used it for printing photos yet, but it is highly rated in that regard by Consumer Reports.
We bought the Epson XP-800 instead of the 810 as the 800 was still available at one store and was priced $100 lower. I was fearful of "setting it up" but the manual and CD helped me breeze right through that process. Very pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!
