The printing quality is great but the paper feeder is horrible! The printer will spit out all the paper i had on the back feeder, then beep and notify me to load paper to the back feeder. I reload the back feeder with more paper then finally it will accept my paper. This happens everytime i use photo paper to print my pictures. Also the main paper tray stays open, i have to manually close and it feels like i am going to break it, because it does not close easily and i don't want the dust to get in. It is so annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Patience has run thin after we sent back an XP-800 printer and got a new one. Lot of problems with printing properly and with the ink cartriges. Hours and hours on the phone with tech support.

This is my 2nd XL-800. I returned the first one because It would not remember the date, and needed the ink heads cleaned EVERY time I used it. This used up precious ink until it ran out and I had only printed a few pages. The print quality was terrible. Epson support tried to help, but nothing they suggested worked. Fortunately, the store where I bought it was willing to replace it. The 2nd one works fine so far, easy set up, excellent printing and copies, very easy to use. I am happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unit would never complete charging of the toner cartridges. Until that's done, the printer doesn't work. So, it literally is useless. Additionally, I found the guides and other mechanicals to be fragile.

Terrible. Bought brand new ink. Didn't use the factory ink. I test printed a sheet and the color was all off. Where is was suppose to be brown it was green. And when I checked the ink setup. It said I was low on a brand new black ink. I'm taking it back and get my money back. Awful experience. Donot buy.

Print quality VERY POOR!!!

We installed the printer with no problem but the black printing was very poor. We followed the steps to clean the print head but this did not help. We replaced the ink cartridge and the printer did not recognize the cartridge.

This all in one is just awesome, compact and full of features!
Easy install right out of the box. No need to wire it, it finds the wireless network and with just the password input, Voila! it's done. all kind of different ways to print and all install on its own.
I would recommend this unit to anyone that wants quality and easy set up.

The XP800 replaced our Epson CX 5000 that finally got worked to death. It took 10 minutes from opening the box to having it installed on my IMAC, Windows 7 Custom PC and two Iphone 5's. The print quality is excellent and with Epson Connect our world just got a lot smaller and more productive. The wireless and USB hook ups were seamless.
I would recommend this to a friend!
