Great picture - marginal remote
on June 16, 2022
Posted by: NorthwestHarris
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most reviewers say the same thing about this Samsung series - good to great picture but a less than remarkable remote. We have adjusted to the nuances of using a numberless remote. But the remote and the TV simply do not communicate well. A remote from the 1980's did a better job of actually getting the TV to take an action than this 2022 model. You can push the back button as often as you wish but any streaming service will simply ignore the signal. No matter where you hold the remote relative to the front lower edge of the screen. Nada. We often have to turn the TV off to get the functionality back, if then. So great picture. Set your expectations for the remote function as low as the pre-80's, and you should be ok.

NorthwestHarris,

I’m sorry to hear your Q60B TV’s remote is not working as expected. If you press any key on the remote and the LED indicator at the top of your remote stays on for about 3 seconds rather than blinking, please try the following steps to reset your remote:

1) Long press the RETURN key and ENTER key together for about 10 seconds if your remote was once paired already with the TV, you do not need to re-pair it again. However, if it was not paired with the TV, pairing must be done after the reset.
2) The RETURN key is on the left side of your remote and looks like a curved, backwards pointing arrow.
3) The ENTER key is the button in the center of your directional ring.

I hope this tip improves your enjoyment. If you need further help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

QLED is dynamic
on June 16, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] QLED 4k UHD 43 inch TV. We wanted a smaller TV for a 4k monitor. Running at 4160 x 2180 30Hz Progressive with a plus from the PC graphics. We have the 4k Xfinity and a 4k UHD DVD player with streaming service for the other two inputs. The colors are superb. The details are sharp. The brightness is superior. The on-line media is sharp and easy to read close up. Our PC is a media streamer, no information for gaming. The 4K UHD Samsung DVD player is super-powered for watching movies and streaming in 4k.
I highly recommend the QLED line from Samsung. I recommend the 43 inch for a 4k UHD monitor as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV more than I expected. I bought it not just for the pierce but also was curious about trying the Qled. The Qled has a great picture but my favorite thing about this TV is the apps. This TV has a ton of free workouts and I can connect my Samsung watch to sync and get all my health data. When I do a workout it kids right into my watch. I can connect my phone to the TV as well. It's easy to use and search and also connects to alexa. I recommend this TV. It's also very light and thin

Tv shuts off

Tv shuts off randomly I hooked it up, cable works fine, just shuts off
Response from Samsung USBy Samsung SpecialistSamsung Brand AmbassadorNovember 21, 2022
Geri,

It’s unfortunate to hear your Q60B TV is turning off by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

If the TV continues to turn off by itself, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a subtle picture. Shading is nicely handled, even in the awkward areas of contours and clothing, and skin tones look entirely natural

Mixed - good and a little less than good

1. this replaced a 12-year-old samsung smart tv that was smart: it had a camera, voice recognition, motion recognition, a full-function remote, and a simple interface. this tv (qled55”) is not that smart, and opens in various source modes, the pattern of which i cannot determine. excellent picture, good sound.
the remote -what can i say -it’s not user friendly. there are four dedicated buttons on the lower part that move the source to special inputs, such as disney+, netfilix, and so on. almost every time that i pick up the remote, it switches to one of those inputs, losing what i was watching. i finally cut three of those buttons off the remote, and covered the holes with tape -problem solved.
i miss my 12-year-old samsung.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lazy Bones,

We appreciate you sharing your experience with the remote, as well as source selection. To ensure your Q60B TV's performance is fully optimized, please be sure your TV's firmware is updated with version 1303. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

Additionally, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option > Autorun Smart Hub

1) Enabling Autorun Smart Hub automatically launches the Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu.

To assist you in the learning the various features, functions, and settings of the remote, you can download the Solar Cell Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website under ‘Support’ (top right corner) > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater. From there, you can select the Q60B under QLED 4K TVs > B Model Lineup. You can also find other guides and manuals to further assist you with your TV’s features.

If we can help with anything else, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

on July 27, 2022

i had 2019 qled 70r model and was told q60b (2022) is advance and same 4k quality. apparently it is not. i compared side by side and picture quality and refresh frequency is too low therefore streaming was too bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Kumar V,

I'm sorry to hear of the confusion you've encountered with the Q60B TV. Please know this model features Motion Rate 120, which is a metric that combines the panel’s native refresh rate, image processing, and backlighting technology. This produces a rating that better conveys the TV’s overall motion performance.

Motion Rate 240 is available in our Q70A Series and higher.
