My First Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a visit to a big box store and talking with a sales rep that just confused me, I happened to see a television-shopping show that previewed this model---which helped me decide to buy this model (along with the research I did.)
The 30-minute, television-shopping segment (which may still be on their website as of October, 2022) demonstrated the "ambient mode", a feature that Samsung invented and perfected. This feature is a screen-saver, but so much better: it displays actual art, (and it is customizable), which is important to me because my Samsung TV is in my living room, and I'd rather display art than a big black rectangle. (The frame models of Samsung TV's, at a higher price-point, steps up the ambient mode further.....you have to see this at the big box store to believe it.)
Another great feature is the solar-powered remote.
The picture is clear and crisp. The home screen is a bit cluttered; but perhaps that's with all smart TV's. I "cut the cord" and have an antenna for "air TV"; and there is a channel-guide that I use frequently (although using this feature on the remote is a bit clumsy).
The technician installed the TV on a certain wall mount. Two of the ports, a port for one of the HDMI ports and the port for Digital Optical Audio Cable, were hidden under the right bracket of mount, so we had to shift the TV to the right about 2 inches.
All in all, I love this new television.

Better features then the Amazon Firestick.

I bought this tv expecting to get the included promotional gift of Xbox Game Pass for 3 Months and Samsung has failed to follow up with it. All I received was a glitchy tv and no promotional like advertised.

Jerky Motion Content

I bought this TV to replace a smaller Samsung model that was six years old and expected everything to be superior to an older model. It has been quite disappointing. After running the latest software updates, I've found lots of content has a very jerky motion to it. I'd tried every different judder setting from "off" to high to auto and it makes little difference. It's very distracting to watch programming and seeing this stutter like motion and especially when it's much worse than my six-year old model. I would not recommend buying this model and suggest only considering a 120Hz refresh model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This TV does not play well when connecting to a computer/steam deck. Pretty much everytime a PC style device is connected its a battle of input changes, restarts and unplugging the cables until you get something to stick - only made harder by no hardware input change (must be done through a series of menus). The video connection works fine with my Nvidia Shield, but this device has audio issue when running my Samsung soundbar through e-ARC. The new Samsung remote build quality is garbage compared to previous generations.

Not what I expected.

if you enjoy gaming do not purchase this tv or the xbox game pass, it struggles when connected to wifi even with a gb connection.

Glitchy Software

The picture is great, and when paired with a Samsung Soundbar, this delivers a great experience for the most part. Unfortunately, my TV seems to be glitchy. There are times when the TV does not respond to the original remote, or a secondary remote. Other times, the software hangs for a few seconds before responding to the selected action. I have done multiple restarts, cold starts, and even factory reset the TV. Nothing seems to fix the problem. It is difficult to replicate the problem, and I do not understand what might cause the software to hang. But it does happen frequently enough that I am considering returning the TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Samsung TV is a must have Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Samsung TV is one of the best choices that I have made! I have another TV brand and the picture performance is nothing compared to my beautiful Samsung QLED TV. The colors are very crisp and clear. I use my Samsung TV to stream, sports and while watching newly released movies because my Samsung has such a great audio it’s like we’re sitting right on the set being filmed. Having great lighting because of its brightness.
