Baby Pork Ribs and 700D4E Smoker- all good!

I was pleasantly surprised the racks took on a deeper color than I expected. I used the Johnny Trigg's method for these and they turned out very good. They weren’t getting as much of a bark as I wanted, so I cranked the temperature to 300°F for the last hour and glazed the ribs with spicy BBQ sauce.The ribs were delicious and utilizing the Z Grill for smoking couldn’t have been easier. The smoke flavor was noticeably lower than when smoking with charcoal and wood, but some people prefer a subtler smoke flavor. I prefer a heavier smoke though.

So far so good. 10 cooks and very great. I've loaded it with 3 racks, and a prime rib and everything came out smoky and cooked perfectly. Temperature stays accurate. Meat has a nice smoke ring. The assbly wasn't fun. The bolts and attachment are slightly off or close. Otherwise a great grill and especially for the price. Go for ut and punch the ticket.

I am a vegetarian who loves to grill on my Traeger. This is my second Traeger purchase, and I love all the design improvements. From little things like changing the pellet hopper door hinges to open away from the grill, starting the grill closed, and the ever important WiFire Technology that lets me walk the neighborhood and still track my smoking temps, this new grill is even better than my Lil Tex Elite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, where does the 17th bolt "A" go? Assembly and instructions are very easy to follow. So far I have smoked and grilled Hamburgers, grilled salmon and steaks, and smoked ribs using the Z Grill recipies. This being my first pellet grill there is a learning curve but by far a great experienence. It would be better if the cooking grate were two smaller pieces instead of one large one as it is hard to clean because it dosen't fit even in a utility sink. Another problem is that the porcelain coating on the warming rack is comming off on the corner already. i hope it dosen't start to rust! I would give this 4 1/2 Stars (because of the grill size)
