This is a nice little rotor tiller. It will not penetrate into sod or hard soil, it will need to be turned over first, but will do a fine job breaking it up and prepare it for planting. I found that by pulling it backwards, it does a better job of breaking up and penetrating down. It is relatively light and mobile. It is a great addition to your gardening tools.

My husband loves his electric tiller! Great green approach. No more diesel fuel needed. Hi Greenworks!

I really like this tiller because it is easy for me to use. I wish the battery run time was better so I now have 3 batteries to keep working when I am in my garden.

I started with Greenworks tools 3 years ago when I got my initial mower, with charger and extra battery. Since then I purchased the line trimmer, hedge attachment , backpack blower, snow blower this past winter and now the cultivator. All use the same batteries, provide plenty of power, unparalleled simplicity, maintenance and efficiency, it doesn’t get any better. I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with Greenworks equipment to date; welcome to the future.

Drive Train failure

I bought this two years ago and have put maybe 4 hours on it. First problem was battery that came with it charges, but will only run the tiller for 5 minutes. Shows a full charge but will only run for a few minutes. Bought a new battery for it and this year pulled it out. ( keep it in the garage out of the weather.) put in the battery and started it.. Terrible noise and then nothing.... Disassembled the drive and the roller bearings on the screw shaft were gone and had destroyed the housing, So now I have to replace the drive train... Definitely not impressed, especially for the money spent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was concerned that a cordless cultivator would not have.the power I was used to with my gas cultivator I have used for many years but the performance was equal to or better. Nice machine. Only wish it had a slightly larger battery in the box. Will probably or another battery to extend run time.
