Not what I hoped for

I'm not going to lie; I am a bit disappointed. My husband and I decided to take the leap of faith and completely switch from Apple products to Samsung. We were avid Samsung users before the Galaxy Note 9 fire incident. We needed a phone so ultimately, we switched to Apple. We got tired of the same thing with every phone update, so we switched back to Samsung and decided to switch all of our devices as well. I sold my MacBook and used the money to purchase the Galaxy Book2 Pro. The specs noted that the battery life would last much longer than that of my MacBook and that was the number one thing that sold me, minus the color! I work from home, and I don't use any applications that would cause the battery life to decrease quickly. I enjoy being able to get up and be able to go out on my porch to get fresh air and bring my laptop with me and continue working but since switching I have had no luck with being able to. I practically have to keep my Galaxy Book on the charger. If I take it off, it lasts maybe 2-3 hours at most and that's with keeping it optimized and the screen at the lowest brightness that I can find comfortable. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that I can't use the pen without my screen acting crazy if I accidently touch it with my hand. It makes drawing a hassle. Don't get me started on the touchpad. It's beyond sensitive to the touch. I've noticed that even when I am using it to just scroll around it randomly will think that I am trying to right/left click on something and I'm not even putting that much pressure on the touch pad for it to think that. It also gets really HOT extremely quick! I even took it upon myself to sit in front of a stand-up fan aimed at the computer hoping to keep the hotness down and it still didn't help any. It's definitely not made for any type of gaming as things tend to lag and become unresponsive randomly. I really had high hopes as I fell in love with my Z Fold 4 and my kiddos love their Galaxy Tablets upon switching from iPads. I would love to see what Samsung has to come up with next for a computer, hopefully something that really does have the long battery life and doesn't heat up! The laptop gets done what I need it to. That's about it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only 4 things away from replacing my Mac

1. It’s super flimsy. I can tell when using it on my lap that the mouse is unstable.
2. The speakers on my phone is louder. Absolutely terrible audio. I hoped it would have been better but these are a must have earbuds or headphones.
3. A functional smart transfer that actually works.

Ill start off by saying im a medical student and i am constantly on my computer. This computer is great for multi tasking with the large screen and can handle many programs and windows open at the same time. Ive had this one for almost a year now and its still as fast as the day i bought it. The speaker is on the bottom of the laptop which is a down side but it still has good quality. This fits in well with the Samsung ecosystem and im still happy with my purchase
