Cooks well but cleaning issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this range for 15 months, and overall I don't miss my almost 40 years of cooking with gas. The range is responsive and offers excellent temperature control, and the oven is accurate and well insulated. The cooktop cleans up well with vinegar and distilled water with a microfiber cloth. My biggest issue is that it seems impossible to clean the oven glass. The hardened grease doesn't break down during the self-cleaning cycle or when I wipe it clean after use. I would love for Bosch to give us advice on how to remove the baked-on grease because the manual is insufficient in this area. Also, although we use stainless steel or enameled cast iron and do not slide our pots around, the cooktop does have some fine scratches. The cooktop is intuitive. However, the oven does present a learning curve.

Would Not Buy Again

This range is a letdown for me. The spacing and sizes of the heating elements are awkward and don't provide as much versatility as separate burners. The bridge element is a nice concept but less than ideal when actually cooking. The size of the largest burner is less than 12 inches and its location wastes space behind it when used for a larger pot. I find the cooktop constantly needs to be cleaned, not just wiped, but actually cleaned. The glass is scratched although I have been careful not to slide or move pots in any way other than lifting them. The controls are placed so closely together, it is easy to accidentally hit the wrong burner and change a burner's setting. Finally, the cooktop heating is incredibly slow for an induction cooktop. My stainless steel cookware, as well as my cast iron cookware, don't heat nearly as quickly as other induction cooktops. Gas is just as fast. The oven appears to be fine; I haven't used the self clean feature yet, but assume it will work well. Overall while the oven is fine, I am disappointed with the cooktop and wish I had purchased a gas stove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent range. Really enjoy the induction cooktop. Problem is, the range is less than 6 months old and the cooktop has stopped working. Parts are backordered and it'll be 6 weeks before I have a stove top that works again. I expect better than this.

Induction stove

I was a little worried about switching from a gas stove to an induction one, though I knew it was the right thing to do. Much to my surprise, it's been an easy adjustment. It's simple to use, cleans easily, and boils water in no time. I love my new stove!

Incredible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The amount of power this range can deliver to cookware is amazing. There are many cooking options and safety features as well. We've had it for just a few days and already find it's far better than cooking with gas. You can expect to stay cool without the excess heat that gas ranges produce. Even after 20 minutes the oven produces almost no detectable external heat at 500 degrees F. The controls are quick and intuitive and the range is very responsive.

Great Range, but I suggest going with the 800 seri

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the range. The two round burners give you amazing heat control and are very even heating.
The two skillet burners are not very even, they heat in strips. It works great for boiling water or soups, but I don't love using them for frying or browning. The oven is very consistent and works great. I would recommend the 800 because you will have 2 large round burners and 4 small burners. Plus, you have autochef.

Sleek, energy efficient

The black stainless finish is very sophisticated, and the range itself is very easy to use, although it took a few days for me to get comfortable after switching over from a gas stove. I love that the rest of the rangetop stays cool. I did have to buy a few new pots that were compatible, but that's a small price to pay for doing my part for the environment. A great investment!
