Perfect induction cooktop for my new house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this induction range for my new home for about a month now and it has been awesome so far! It's pretty much got everything I was looking for: slim design, great performance, safe, and energy-efficient. My favorite thing about it is that it boils/cooks so much faster compared to my conventional range. One thing to note is that not all of your pans/pots are not going to be compatible with the induction. Other than that I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for a cooktop for their new house.

Induction is phenomenal

We were disappointed that our new condo has no gas hook ups for stoves, and did not want to use a propane tank or electric range top. We are delighted that we spent a bit more than for a typical oven and bought this Bosch induction range. The glasstop is modern in a fun way, and quite intuitive. The speed boost option is truly amazing for heating a pot of water or kettle to a boil- quicker even than gas. And it has the same flexibility in terms of turning off nearly instantly. I baked a cake yesterday, have done biscuits and quick breads, cookies, potatoes etc, and found the suggestions on how to place the racks very helpful. It works beautifully- used convection for an oven pancake yesterday and it puffed up better than in a concentional oven.
I was afraid I would not like having to clean the glass surface, but a quick wipe with provided product works easily and it stays shiny and fresh. I thinknif we simply keep up with that daily care it will stay beautiful for years to come.
Yes, it is a bit if a splurge but if you enjoy cooking as we do, it is worth every penny!

Great range except for one easily avoidable thing
on October 12, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my range at the end of 2020 and finally received it in July 2021. This is my first induction cooktop and I love it, even with the learning curve. Its also been an excuse to change out some of my old cookware that I thought would work (magnets attracted to the cookware but didn't actually work when the range came in). The product is still new enough to me that I smile every time i use the "boost" function to boil water extra rapidly. Pros: its stunning. I find it really easy to clean because food doesn't cook on the way it did on my old ceramic cooktop. The speed and control of induction is everything people rave about it. I've used the cooktop more than the oven--the oven has a multitude of functions and I'm still learning them. So far the oven has met all my expectations. I like the flexibility of all the different bake/roast/broil etc options. Cons: the burner placement. The flex bar is amazing. I don't understand why the big burner is solidly in the middle of the cooktop. When I put a big 5.5 or 6qt pan on it, it doesn't leave enough room to use the small burner. I tried to use the flex bar with a griddle, the big round burner for a large pan, and then the small pan and they simply just didn't all fit. This could easily have been fixed by moving that burner back and to the right a bit. Its my big regret about this range...and for as much as I love it, had I realized the placement of the hobs impaired the functionality that much I likely would have chosen something different. The other con that I put in the category of "annoyance" is that it is easy to bump the oven controls when leaning over the cooktop. I wavered between giving this a 3 and 4 star rating. For the price I paid for it, I'd like to only give it a 5 star rating.

A few bugs to work out
on November 21, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm hesitant to fully review my new range as I've had it for 2 months and the oven has only worked for 1.5 weeks. However, we are LOVING the induction cooktop. Hard to find a slide-in range that overlaps the counter. It was delivered damaged...the metal grill on the back of the cooktop (where the steam from oven is released) was bent. Made of very flimsy metal and I'd be lying if I said the replacement grill was flawless. This metal will make a vibrating noise if not screwed in tightly. My suggestion would be for Bosch to update with stronger material. We also had a cooling fan/control panel error which required 3 additional service calls to work out. Thank goodness it is all under warranty. I'm thinking it may not be a bad idea to purchase an extended warranty with the luck I've had so far. However, it seems like all is well now and I'm looking forward to cooking for the holidays!

Not quite a Benchmark

I have Benchmark induction cooktop and was very impressed by them. So when I'm in the market for a range, I didn't hesitate to get a Benchmark induciton range. Well, it was a let down. They have taken away essential features for no apparent reason. The cook timer was a useful feature in the cooktop. It is removed in the range. In 2023, you would expect a Benchmark range in this price point will have WiFi connectivity. They take that away too. The cooking performance was also underwhelming. The most powerful induction element (11") has even less actual cooking power than the flex element. Overall a disappointment. May be the Benchmark cooktop set my expectation too high. But at least it indicates what the Bosch team is capable of. This product seems to be an after thought and not worthy of the Benchmark name nor justify the price,

We bought this when it first came out a few years ago. negatives: The quality control was poor, screws missing the warmer draw broken, the cook top cotrol was intermitent. The initial issues were discouraging. Possitives: Bosch fixed it all (customer support was excellent) and it is a very nice induction range. Many ranges have too few heat settings (1-9, Boost). This has intermediate setting for finer control and is much better than the units with fewer settings. The user control is a two step (select hob, set level), which is pretty common and I know of no units with individua hob control that gives the number of level this range has. The oven is excellent of course. Aesthetically, this range is nice and fits well in our arts and crafts style home (a touch modern but nothing like some of the other offerings at that time). This range is very pricey but, at the time, we wanted the flex feature. However, after three years, it isn't used that much and the 800 series would have been a better option.

Out-stand-ing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will start at the end: I love it. Even though it was not our first induction cooktop, there was still a little learning curve. But once I learned and understood the differences between this unit and the one I was replacing, it was game on! Very intuitive controls, and I particularly like (love) the flexibility of the left-side flex zone, the even heating across the cookware (we use All Clad), and the speed boost function. Beautiful clean design, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to maintain. Zero second thoughts (other than why did we wait so long?). Highly recommended, without reservation.

SLEEK look and TOP-NOTCH Versatility
on December 30, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am SO very pleased with our BOSCH HIIP057U as I truly researched induction stovetop/oven models. The sleek look of this slide-in model tipped the scales in its favor. There are no knobs sticking out. I much prefer the touch tone selection method over knobs. The cooking service markings are subtle and polish up beautifully with a microfiber cloth for an almost seamless counter look. The oven light gradually fades in and out. I love the warming tray too.
Two very minor wishlist thoughts. The oven roller rack springs back so quickly! Also, BOSCH microwave selections look dated with the vertical handle so I went with another microwave brand that matched the sleek black/no knob or handle appearance.
Lastly, make sure that your electrician positions the outlet an inch or two above the floor so that the unit slides all the way in and fluch with counters.
I love this BOSCH and am loving induction stovetop cooking!
