Cooks well but cleaning issues
on October 20, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this range for 15 months, and overall I don't miss my almost 40 years of cooking with gas. The range is responsive and offers excellent temperature control, and the oven is accurate and well insulated. The cooktop cleans up well with vinegar and distilled water with a microfiber cloth. My biggest issue is that it seems impossible to clean the oven glass. The hardened grease doesn't break down during the self-cleaning cycle or when I wipe it clean after use. I would love for Bosch to give us advice on how to remove the baked-on grease because the manual is insufficient in this area. Also, although we use stainless steel or enameled cast iron and do not slide our pots around, the cooktop does have some fine scratches. The cooktop is intuitive. However, the oven does present a learning curve.

Best Range Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new induction range. A pot of water for spaghetti boils in 3 minutes! Temperature control is instantaneous on the cooktop and exact. Only thing, which is not a downside, is preheating the oven is a little slower than expected. I will never go back to gas or traditional electric! Thanks Bosch.

Best Range We Have Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Introduced to induction cooking while in appliance repair 30 years ago when they first hit the market. Very expensive at the time but impressed by the process. Had our kitchen remodeled in 2005 and researched cooktop and was reminded of induction. Purchased Bosch drop in cooktop and we loved it. Moved to our new home in 2019 and replaced existing electric range with Bosch slide in induction range. All the features make cooking and baking easy and the cooktop power settings eliminate boil over and burning of pans with the half adjustments. Recommend the range to everyone we know.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great induction range. Very powerful like using gas range. Oven features are wonderful. It's nice to have the option of either using convection or conventional when baking.

Bosch Induction Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are quite pleased with our new range, though the learning curve to maximally use the appliance is significant. Unfortunately the glass top scratches easily, otherwise a 5 would be in order. The heating elements and cookware must match nearly perfectly to function optimally. We've still some learning to be had.

Sleek and Beautiful!
on April 29, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this is the most beautiful range I have ever seen! No knobs or grates to clean, and no knob protrusions to injure yourself on while cleaning. The induction stove top is beautiful, and induction cooking is as precise as you want it to be. I love the speed boost which almost instantly brings the temperature up, which eliminates any argument about gas being faster. Following the cooking guidelines provided with the appliance has eliminated any overcooking or burning of food. My bad habits of cooking at too high a temperature have been replaced with lower temperatures which don't dry out or burn foods. I love love love the convection oven. Now my baked goods are evenly baked, at reliable temperatures, and come out perfectly - unlike my gas range that had hot and cold spots throughout the oven resulting in uneven baking. I haven't tried all the cooking options, but what I use regularly, I am spectacularly happy with. My only suggestion is that the markings on the cooktop are a little hard to see, especially for my old eyes!

Great looks and performance, terrible interface
on May 14, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have nothing but good things to say about the performance, features, style, and overall quality.
However, the controls have serious issues. The printed labels on the cook surface are difficult to see in most lighting conditions (they are gray on black), making it difficult to line up pots exactly (which is important with an induction stove).
The touch controls require multiple steps to change most settings since you only have one set of controls for all 4 cooking areas, meaning you have to select an area then change the temperature. For light use this is not a problem, but if you're cooking multiple things at a time it can get very chaotic--turning down (or up) the wrong burner by mistakes is very easy.
If something boils over, it can easily cover the controls since they are set into the surface, making it difficult to see them, and since moisture activates the touch controls it can make them completely inoperable. Several times I've had to use a towel to mop up boiling water covering the controls before I could turn the heat down. At least there's no fire, but it's still a burn hazard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
