Feet assembly isn’t heavy enough
on March 6, 2021
Posted by: Shawn
The back feet assembly appears to be stripped out when we got it. There is no easy way to replace the feet assembly to correct the issue because the nut is not accessible.

Range Meets Expectations

Quality product that takes some time to learn how to use it. Oven appears to work great and is accurate temperature wise. We wish there was an option to increase the volume of the timers. They are not loud enough.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality and ease of use...So Very Disappointing

We purchased the top of the line induction range because of Bosch quality, reputation and reviews of this induction cook top. Sadly the induction cooking is challening to get used to, and yes we have the right pots. After one month of use, the front panel had to be relplaced because the fan would not work and the oven shut down and it took a month to get the part and installation!! The user manual is less than clear on how to use the cooktop properly. It works great for fast boost, high heat, boiling, etc, but the lower temperatures you have to heat pan on boost, then lower the temp, but not too low or it won't cook! Rice took 40 min to cook on 2 as the manual instructed and it was not good, Frustrating. The warming drawer is very sensitive and pops open all the time, so the service tech replaced the rails and the drawer now stays in better. But REALLY???!!!

Nice Range with one repeat issue
on October 26, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the Benchmark induction range about a year ago. Took sometime to get used to the controls and still have issues when I have a right side burner on and want to turn on a left side burner. I have to keep trying several times before it selects the correct burner. The flex burners on the left seems to suddenly lose power when cooking batches of items like french toast. Not sure why after the 2nd batch it seems to no longer make the griddle hot to keep cooking. Now my biggest issue is the warming draw. I didn't know that I needed it until I had one. Unfortunatly it gets stuck or won't close all the way, or won't open. I had it fixed 3 times and now they are coming again for the 4th time. The rails broke on the warming draw within the first month. Then a few weeks later it wouldn't close properly. Then it wouldn't open. They keep replacing them, but it's not working again after only using it 3 times since the last repair. My wife has given up on using the draw after the 2nd time it stopped opening. What a shame.. I really like that feature.

Wasted space on cooktop service
on May 24, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I am very happy with the stove. However, I just now noticed only after one month of use that there is some deterioration on the bottom of the glass top. At first I thought it was scratches but now I realize something is happening underneath the glass. I will keep my eye on it.
Additionally, on this model, it's difficult to have three pans/pots on at the same time. The largest element is positioned too far forward, thereby wasting space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have anything bad to say about this range. I replaced an aging gas range, and the difference in cook speed, waste heat and cleanliness is night and day. Most of my review is going to be comparative between the gas and electric/induction ranges, since this is my first induction and I don't have others to compare to.
The stove top is amazing to use, and while I initially had reservations about the touch interface, it works and only took a few minutes to start feeling familiar. It does NOT work if there's liquid on the control area, which is something to know if you make a mess on your cooktop and need to turn off a burner, for instance. I tested this with a significant amount of water (like you'd get if a pan boiled over, for instance), but haven't tested with smaller amounts to see what the tolerance is. A quick wipe with a towel fixes this though, and removing a pan from its burner shuts it down as well.
There is some induction buzz on the absolute highest settings (9 and Boost), and as I'm pretty sensitive to annoying noises, I expected this to bother me more than it actually does. The pitch sounds like the standard 60Hz hum, which was surprising since I thought induction stoves used a higher frequency. Regardless, it isn't very loud at all and quite tolerable. Since most cooking is going to happen on lower power settings and the time on Boost is generally pretty short, it shouldn't be a big deal.
All the raving on YouTube and such about how fast induction is at boiling water is absolutely true. It took approximately six minutes to bring about a gallon of water to a rolling boil, according to the built-in "count up" timer (great feature, by the way). Upon boiling, I turned the stove off and was able to grab the pan handles directly, as they were still cool. I'd had gotten 2nd or 3rd degree burns doing that on gas.
It doesn't look like multiple burners can be set on Boost at the same time, which sorta stinks, since the power budget should be there (40a power rating = 9600W) but I don't know how often I'd actually need to do that anyway.
The stovetop overhangs the countertop to either side, which prevents the constant deluge of crud down the inevitable gap on either side of a slide-in range. My old gas range had brown sticky stuff down both sides. Super gross. I'm considering adding very thin weatherstrip underneath, so liquids spilled on the counter or stove can't find their way around and under the edge, but I suspect with the way it's installed currently (per the manual), it'll never be a problem.
My wife has, so far, cooked a pie and some brownies in the oven. It is summertime here, and I told her to not bake during the day since the temperature in the kitchen would reach rediculous quite quickly with our old stove. Not an issue with this one! It seems practically all the heat generated stays in the oven. This logically makes sense, since there's no need for fresh air to get in there to support combustion.
A cooling fan runs after a while when the oven is in use, but I actually needed to stick my ear over the stove to hear it, since it's quite quiet. I haven't heard any fan run while the stovetop is in use, though I suspect that may be since I haven't used three or four burners at once yet.
Any excess heat is rejected through a stainless grille along the back edge of the range, which is elevated enough to prevent spills on the surface from flowing directly into the vent, but since it shoots the hot air straight up, the wall directly above and behind the stove vent got pretty hot during baking. Our old stove had the controls in this area (above it's vent, which made the oven controls get VERY hot during use) which prevented the air from impinging directly on the wall. This isn't a design issue with the range so much as a modification required to my kitchen, since I just had painted drywall there before.
We haven't used the convection function yet, so I can't speak on that. I haven't owned the range long enough to speak to its reliability, either, but Bosch is supposed to be at the top of the list there, according to appliance repair guys.
Overall, really solid range and I'm glad I got it.

Happy Induction Owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first induction range and so far I couldn't be happier with it. I got it just before Christmas and cooked Christmas dinner for 7 in it. Everything came out perfectly. I love the power boost option. I only had to replace one sautee pan and one sauce pan that were not compatible (who knew that Calphalon wouldn't be compatible)! The only downside is that the self-cleaning option doesn't clean the oven glass and I couldn't get it cleaned following the instructions in the user's manual. I called Bosch for more information and was told to buy the Bosch descaler to clean it. I got advice from the internet and was able to clean the glass easily.
