A few bugs to work out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm hesitant to fully review my new range as I've had it for 2 months and the oven has only worked for 1.5 weeks. However, we are LOVING the induction cooktop. Hard to find a slide-in range that overlaps the counter.
It was delivered damaged...the metal grill on the back of the cooktop (where the steam from oven is released) was bent. Made of very flimsy metal and I'd be lying if I said the replacement grill was flawless. This metal will make a vibrating noise if not screwed in tightly. My suggestion would be for Bosch to update with stronger material. We also had a cooling fan/control panel error which required 3 additional service calls to work out. Thank goodness it is all under warranty. I'm thinking it may not be a bad idea to purchase an extended warranty with the luck I've had so far. However, it seems like all is well now and I'm looking forward to cooking for the holidays!

Fantastic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We originally ordered the 800 series in black and after 8 months were told it was not available until 2023. We then purchased the Benchmark Induction Range. It did not come in Black but it looks great in our kitchen. Friends recommended induction cooking and it is the first time we have an induction range. It took a few days to get the hang of it but now we love it and appreciate the precise temperature, quick heating and flexible cook zone! The oven is also great; preheats quickly, variable cooking methods, the convention setting is wonderful as well - love the two temperature broiler. Strangely, it did not come with a broiler pan which is strange considering the higher price we paid for this range. Use it daily and are very satisfied.

Out-stand-ing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will start at the end: I love it. Even though it was not our first induction cooktop, there was still a little learning curve. But once I learned and understood the differences between this unit and the one I was replacing, it was game on! Very intuitive controls, and I particularly like (love) the flexibility of the left-side flex zone, the even heating across the cookware (we use All Clad), and the speed boost function. Beautiful clean design, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to maintain. Zero second thoughts (other than why did we wait so long?).

Nice Range with one repeat issue

Took sometime to get used to the controls and still have issues when I have a right side burner on and want to turn on a left side burner. I have to keep trying several times before it selects the correct burner. The flex burners on the left seems to suddenly lose power when cooking batches of items like french toast. Not sure why after the 2nd batch it seems to no longer make the griddle hot to keep cooking. Now my biggest issue is the warming draw. I didn't know that I needed it until I had one. Unfortunatly it gets stuck or won't close all the way, or won't open. I had it fixed 3 times and now they are coming again for the 4th time. The rails broke on the warming draw within the first month. Then a few weeks later it wouldn't close properly. Then it wouldn't open. They keep replacing them, but it's not working again after only using it 3 times since the last repair. My wife has given up on using the draw after the 2nd time it stopped opening. What a shame.. I really like that feature.

Quality and ease of use...So Very Disappointing

We purchased the top of the line induction range because of Bosch quality, reputation and reviews of this induction cook top. Sadly the induction cooking is challening to get used to, and yes we have the right pots. After one month of use, the front panel had to be relplaced because the fan would not work and the oven shut down and it took a month to get the part and installation!!
The user manual is less than clear on how to use the cooktop properly. It works great for fast boost, high heat, boiling, etc, but the lower temperatures you have to heat pan on boost, then lower the temp, but not too low or it won't cook! Rice took 40 min to cook on 2 as the manual instructed and it was not good, Frustrating.
The warming drawer is very sensitive and pops open all the time, so the service tech replaced the rails and the drawer now stays in better. But REALLY???!!!

ONE OF A KIND INDUCTION SLIDE IN RANGE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This induction range is unique in the market place. It was certainly not inexpensive but it is a remarkable value, especially if you are replacing an existing range. I was fully prepared to but the Wolf (which was near twice the price) but the Bosch came out on top in so many categories. The Wolf is well made, but no more so than the Bosch. However, here is something that no other induction range can do but the Bosch: it is a true slide in with an overlap on the range glass, bridging the space to the counter top. NO OTHER range ON THE MARKET does this at any price. So, if you are replacing and upgrading, you will need to have spacers or an ugly space. Not with the Bosch. A custom fit everytime. As for operation, it is so very fast and incredibly efficient. Quiet and easy intuitive operation. In a word - excellent!

Great complex machine designed with simplicity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range is solid and "glows" quality compared to other brands. The induction system works flawlessly. The lay-out for the "burners" is a little strange but when one is accustomed to it, makes perfect sense. Handy little things like up and down timers are simple touches that competitors don't have. The inside is beautiful and the racks are top quality. The top is clean and designed to never accumulate gunk anywhere. It's expensive but worth it.
