BENCHMARK INDUCTION SLIDE-IN RANGE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned and used this range for 6 weeks. I wanted to make a Thanksgiving dinner putting the range to the test. All in all a brilliant design. The floating top sits on the granite counter top.
Likes: Design, Ease of use of all controls both on cooktop and oven, Fast heating there's an induction learning curve, the oven is brilliant so many options & the meat probe took the turkey to the perfect temp. The warming drawer is a great option. My personal installer said "the warming drawer is a work of art in stainless steel!
Things that could be better: the rear stainless oven grate that runs across the back of the range is sadly not the best quality & be sure to find the CORNERS COVERS KIT-000634738 at the beginning of your installation. You will thank yourself.
The sound could be a bit louder on the oven timers & probe. Yes, I have it turned up to max.
That's about it. I purchased new All-Clad D-5 Stainless cookware. I have paired this range with a ducted OTR ADVANTIUM MICROWAVE OVEN.
PS. You need a great installer to get this range just right but then you are ready to step into the future with this outstanding induction range. Good job BOSCH!

I love this range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Choose Bosch to replace a gas range after hearing great things about Bosch performance. We Have previously experienced induction with a different brand but this Bosch range if fantastic. Our son likes to make mac and cheese but waiting for water to boil using gas was time consuming not to mention heating up the kitchen. On this range the water comes to a boil in under 3 minutes, the handles of the pan and the kitchen stay cool. Also enjoy how responsive temperature settings are and how easy it is to clean the surface. Oven works great and convection mode is as quiet as any other convection range we have used before. Overall the performance of this range is such that if I wasn’t already married I would be marrying my Bosch!
A couple of quirks or suggestions for improvement. The count up timer is nice to use but wish once it reaches 60 seconds it only displays minutes and no seconds as it continues to count. Wish it would continue with minutes and seconds. Also when pre-heating the oven it only displays the desired temperature. Wish it would display the current oven temperature as the oven heats up.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my appliance suite because I wanted a slide in stove with induction cook top and Benchmark had that. The induction is good has good temperature control. One of the burners makes a noise when it's on which is disappointing and the cooktop stays hot for 15 min or more after use. Also it is extremely hard to get the cooktop to look clean. White vinegar & water has worked best. I had problems with the oven preheating (advised that it can take 20 min or more to get to 375) using fast preheat can help. I wish it had a delayed start or even better wifi enabled so that I could have it start at a later time and dinner would be ready. 25 years ago I had a Kenmore oven that had delayed start, unfortunately this one doesn't seem to offer that feature. I will instigate the sabbath setting to see if maybe that will work. Finally, I do love the 3 racks and the warming drawer.

Excellent range

There is a learning curve in using induction, figuring out what level to use for what, but once you do that it's pretty nifty. It's much easier to use consistently than gas because you just digitally dial in what level you want. The one thing I would like is for there to be better indication of where the heating elements are. If your cookware is not directly over the element then it won't work well.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased this to replace gas range and have been happy with it so far. Induction stove performs as advertised (fast boiling, precise and fast temp changes, easy cleanup). Flexzone nice to have but some may have less need for it. Oven seems more spacious than specs indicate and has operated satisfactorily (including broiler) so far (haven't used extensively yet) but it does take a long time to preheat and struggles to reach very high temps for us. Unit had a defect upon delivery and bosch service was great in dealing with it expeditiously.

Our First Induction Range

We chose an Induction Range after 25 years of a dual-fuel (gas range/electric oven) range. The goals were to increase cooking heat/speed, and to reduce our use of natural gas, especially in a world that is beginning to outlaw gas ranges. We chose Bosch Benchmark because we trust the brand; the slide-in fit our counter opening height; and because the reviews were good and reliability ratings good as well. After a month of adapting our cooking techniques to Induction, we are very happy with the range. The induction cook areas on the stovetop are easy to control and we like the precise and consistent heat levels you can achieve. The glass top needs care and we are getting used to that as well. We like the smooth glass top especially when it comes to cleaning - no heavy grates to get coated with residue, no burner areas to try to keep clear of cooked-on food. The oven seems to work well too, the controls however are taking some practice and trial-and-error to master. One small comment is the fast pre-heat function doesn't always work so fast. But the convection function works well, the lighting inside is very good and the racks are well made and slide in and out easily. We are really liking the range.

Bosch Benchmark Induction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While we have only owned our Bosch range for 8 weeks we really enjoy cooking with it. I thought it might take a while to get used to the induction cooking but we have become acclimated really quickly. The way the cooktop tells us about a pan not being correct is really helpful. The way the convection works in the oven makes cooking in it very easy. We both like the extra large glass top which slides over the countertop making it appear larger because it is.

High hopes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven't had a lot of experience with it yet, but so far we're very happy with our Bosch range. Works well in all respects. We selected it because it was the only one, of which we were aware, that featured a cooktop that overlapped the sides of the cutout in our kitchen (to prevent stuff from falling into the gap) and was completely flat (to make moving pots easier). The range is well made and looks great in our kitchen. We made the switch to induction based on our experiences with Airbnbs in Europe, where they're quite common. At this point, we give it 5 stars.
