Induction rocks!

Switched from gas to this induction range, and it has been excellent. Water boils quickly, food cooks evenly. The flex/join burners are very useful. I recommend a Lodge cast iron rectangular griddle to go on top of the two joined burners.
I thought the placement of the big burner in the back might be awkward, but the little burner is very useful. Having it in the front is convenient.

So far, so good. Good looking range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to replace our Bosch Dual fuel range with induction because we were concerned with the recent news about indoor air quality with a gas cooktop. We went with the Benchmark series mainly because of the FlexInduction zone area. It doess looks like it will be a more convenient use of the cooking area. However, one thing that isn't obvious from ANY of the Bosch materials comparing the Benchmark to the 800 series is that the 800 series has something called "AutoChef" functionality, while the Benchmark doesn't. While we still like the features of the Benchmark layout over the 800 series, when we buy the top of the line, I would expect it to have ALL of the features of the lower model PLUS the additional capabilities.
As I understand AutoChef, it keeps the pan at a constant temperature when frying. This seems like it would be a very convenient feature to have. We only found out about it because it is described in the manual that came with the range. I don't think we would have gotten the 800 series even if we had known this, but it would have been nice to have had this pointed out in the spec sheets for the ranges or in the marketing materials.
We have used gas for many years, so induction does take a little getting used to. After dealing with having to upgrade our electrical service and getting the range installed, it seems to work well. Boiling water is incredibly fast. We have been able to prepare a number of meals with some learning to find the appropriate burner settings.
The oven is exactly the same as in our last range, other than the telescoping rack, which is convenient. Time will tell how well this stands up, but so far it looks like it will be easy to cook on.

Bosch Induction Covection

SLEEK look and TOP-NOTCH Versatility

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am SO very pleased with our BOSCH HIIP057U as I truly researched induction stovetop/oven models. The sleek look of this slide-in model tipped the scales in its favor. There are no knobs sticking out. I much prefer the touch tone selection method over knobs. The cooking service markings are subtle and polish up beautifully with a microfiber cloth for an almost seamless counter look. The oven light gradually fades in and out. I love the warming tray too.
Two very minor wishlist thoughts. The oven roller rack springs back so quickly! Also, BOSCH microwave selections look dated with the vertical handle so I went with another microwave brand that matched the sleek black/no knob or handle appearance.
Lastly, make sure that your electrician positions the outlet an inch or two above the floor so that the unit slides all the way in and fluch with counters.
I love this BOSCH and am loving induction stovetop cooking!

Beautiful and full of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Second induction range owned. Takes a bit of time to heat up, even on "boost" setting, but once pan is hot and food begins to cook, it works well. Just needs time to learn the proper setting.

First Induction for us
