(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am more than delighted at the range of options and ease of use of this oven. Compared to the wall oven that I just retired, this oven is so much more capable..
while the oven is on, should there be warm air rushing out of oven through the gap at the top of the door? I would think that should be sealed and not losing air?

Hello valued Bosch customer! Thank you for your question! It is indeed normal for warm air to escape through the oven vent at the top of the door. This vent is essential for proper air circulation and covering it can lead to overheating. Please refer to the Use & Care manual here https://tinyurl.com/576ee2an for the oven vent locations. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our Bosch oven for a little over a month. It has been easy to use. I am very surprised that the timer hasn't been changed by now, it is entirely too low to hear.I'm disappointed in the finish, it's a very dull stainless steel look. It doesn't stand out like I thought it would for a Bosch. We also ordered a dishwasher and a speed oven. We absolutely love the dishwasher!! Still waiting on the speed oven.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The Benchmark Single Wall Oven (HBLP45UC) performs great. Meals come better than my previous oven. Quality workmanship, and multiple modes for various options makes this oven a great choice. The temperature probe allos you to monitor the internall temperature on the display allowing for perfect tenderness.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in all I am liking my new oven. There is a small learning curve - 10 years of a Jenn-Air - and things are different but nothing I don't like. My biggest trip up is the timer. I used the "oven" timer the first time and at the end of the time it shut the oven off. I guess this is good when you know the exact time but I typically add time once I have checked the food. I've been using the "kitchen" timer since which will keep the oven on and I can turn it off when I'm ready. Entering the time is also different - before for 5 minutes I entered 5:00, with the Bosch that gets me 5 hours. It's more efficient now, just takes getting used to. I don't like that the oven light doesn't turn off when you turn the oven off, I have to manually turn it off even if the oven has been turned of. The telescoping rack is fabulous, and the many features will take some experimenting with, but all in all, I'm very happy with my new oven.
