This is by far the best smoker. A little pricey but worth every penny. First cook a full packet brisket followed up with baby back ribs then a pulled pork butt. All very good!!

What I really appreciate about this grill is that everything is high quality. No cheap plastic anywhere or places where corners were cut. EVERYTHING is solid. I also love that the grill can get over 500 degrees, which allows me to get rid of my gas grill completely and use this for grilling and smoking. I've been very happy with the grill so far.

I received my Timberline XL as a gift and took about a week to learn how smart this pellet grill really is! But knowing is believing! I live in Alaska and even at 15F the smoker performs great, yes it does take some more time to get up to temperature. We shall see ol “smokes-a-lot” does at -30F. I have smoked evething from cheese to chicken, French bread, beef tenderloin and every time the Timberline has out dun it’s self! Great grill!!

This is my 6th grill (3rd pellet grill) but first Traeger and well worth the purchase. The grill only takes about 20 minutes to get to a stable temperature, unlike my previous grill which needed an hour to "settle" down to a steady temp. It is well insulated and was not affected by wind. I love that there is no pellet dust or ash on my food now, its pretty much contained in the lower part of the grill where it should be. The controls are very easy to use and I can adjust the temperature from my phone....WHAT?! I also like the built-in thermometer connectors (I don't use nor trust the wireless MEATER due to a previous bad experience with that product). The grill easy to disassemble for cleaning. I kinda wish I purchased this a few years ago but on the flip side, I can appreciate how good I have it now. :)

My unit came damaged even though the box was perfect. Traeger sent me out the new part. After 2 uses, the unit stopped working. Spent hours with the support line for them to tell me it was a bad wire harness. Doubt it’s a wire harness when this thing has 4 mother boards on it.

Hello, and thanks for sharing your feedback on the Timberline XL. There is actually only one motherboard on this grill, though sometimes the power supply can be mistaken for a second one. Other than that, it is mostly just the usual pellet grill components, e.g., auger motor, controller, induction fan, etc. And while a wire harness may not seem like much, replacing one can often be all that is needed to correct many issues, especially those that were diagnosed by one of our agents. Great Siler, easy to use and perfect every time

We bought the timberline XL about a month ago and have been very happy with the results we are getting. It is especially nice when you just don’t have time to sit and take care of the stick burner smoker that we also use.
We also like the availability of information available from the other users.
