Definitely lot’s more grille than 1st gen! Love ❤️ the new graphical display controller display! Wireless temperature probes nice touch! Seems to get to running temperature a lot better! Just Love the lower storage copayment! The electric stove on the side just completes the grille looking forward to using it!

After spending years mastering smoking over charcoal and block wood - I decided to invest in a Traeger. I love it. The only reason why I couldn't give it five stars (I wanted to) is because you can't use both wired probes without the grill defaulting to pizza oven mode. I know it's minor - but for the cost, frustrating.

The Timberline XL is an amazing smoker and the best one Traeger has introduced. The versatility of this grill is amazing! I was able to cook my Families entire thanksgiving meal on it… literally everything from the turkey to the yeast rolls. I would recommend this grill to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything I hoped it would be! I’ve cooked on this grill almost every day since it arrived. I loved my previous grill (Traeger Pro 34), but the Timberline is next level. It maintains a much more consistent temp thru the entire cook and doesn’t seem affected by wind due to the precision of the seals and the insulated construction. Induction side burner is so handy for grilling veggies or searing. The addition of the Traeger branded Meater probes is a huge bonus.

Great results every time!

This is my 4th Traeger, and they keep getting better. This one is the best ever. Very consistent results every time. The three-layer Grill racks really expands capacity. The induction Hot Plate is so versatile and was needed--Thank you.
All these 1 Star reviews I see cannot be true. Since anyone can write a review here, I am more inclined to believe these are competitors. It's unfortunate that people would leave misleading and downright false claims for a product they don't like for who knows what reason?

Drip Tray Liners, or lack of...

I've had a Traeger for just over a month now. I've had three issues, that were promptly dealt with by what seems an excellent Support team that is driven by Customer Service. However, here lies, in my opinion, a huge miss, and the reason for only a three-star review. Why isn't there a replacement foil drip tray liner?
We want to be able to maintain a clean BBQ, just like my wife maintains our gas range and stove. I realize a factory-designed liner for the Timberline models will require a more detailed design. I'll pay the extra, just give us the option. "Rather be cooking than cleaning"..

Hey Jim! Thank you for your feedback. Drip tray liners are a wonderful accessory to keep grease off the drip tray and reduce the clean time. However, the new Timberline XL has a newly designed grease management system that works with the fire pot to collect the grease and ash. This makes clean-up easy.
