Too difficult to open to door.

It is very difficult to open. I've had to rig up something in front of the freezer to prevent it from moving across the floor. It freezes well, but very difficult for me to access.

Hello,
We're sorry to hear that you are having difficulty opening the freezer door.
When the freezer door is opened, warm air rushes in-side. When you close the door, all of the warm air rushes to the evaporator which creates a vacuum. We recommend applying the paraffin wax on the hinge side of the door.

Works exactly as expected. Lots of room for storage and it's quiet. The only thing that is a bit difficult to get used to is how hard it is to open the door.

A Freezer With Good Operating Efficiencies

This freezer was installed quickly and cooled down within 1 hour. We are monitoring its energy usage and have found that it is very efficiently insulated to maintain temperatures within the freezer, as the electrical usage has been relatively low, when compared to our refrigerator. We are very happy with this freezer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We purchased this upright freezer approximately a month ago and have not had one regret. It works like a charm and the seal is so secure/ We couldn't be more pleased Good job Hotpoint / We are done with Samsung after two that only lasted until the warranty ended. You are officially their replacement. Welcome Aboard!
