When we lay down on this mattress, we call it clouding! Cool, crisp, comfy & cloudy! Doesn’t disappoint, just go give it a lay & cloud away.

The Casper Original Foam is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. After the first night of sleeping on it I found it to be far more comfortable than the Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress it replaced. The back and shoulder pain that I felt from side sleeping on the Tempur-Pedic mattress has vanished completely with the Casper. I would definitely recommend Casper to anyone, particularly those with back pain that find Tempur-Pedic beds to be abusively hard.

Although the Casper Original is aa major step above my previous very old mattress, I have mixed feelings about it. It is soft (perhaps too soft) and comfy and welcomes me to bed. And I sleep very soundly thru the night. But because I have problems with my lower back, I wake up still with a very stiff lower back. Possibly because I sleep on my back in one position for most of the night. I had spoken with a staff member before purchase who suggested the Hybrid. But having no way of knowing how stiff either of the mattresses would be (and having a friend who loved the Original) I got the Original. Now I suspect that the Hybrid might have been a better choice. When I get another mattress for a larger bed, the Original will make an excellent mattress for a guest bed.

Give it a couple weeks to adjust - but its a great mattress

I had a really really really soft mattress before so took a couple weeks for me to get used to this new harder (for me) mattress. But I do feel better when I wake up in terms of my back and neck… now I just need to upgrade my pillows :)

Sleeping with sweet dreams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a very nice memory foam mattress , it’s not too plush and not too firm so I will call it medium , but definitely support the back a lot . I have a back pain issue but sleeping on this has made it go a away in less than a week.

Very soft - not like other Originals purchased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought an original casper mattress about 6 years ago when it was the only option and it continues to be a favorite mattress. Within the last 5 years, we have had parents and family purchase other original mattresses, and most recently purchased a twin sized original mattress for our toddlers new big kid bed.
Let me tell you - EVERY mattress purchased is a different firmness. This twin is so soft it feels like my husband and I (average size) sink into it by 6 or 8 inches when we sit on it. While the mattress is OK for our toddler, it is NOT the sturdiness of our original king mattress and thus not comfortable or supportive for an adult.
Really disappointed in the inconsistencies in the 5 Original mattresses that have been purchased over the years.

Terrible mattress, first 6 months it lasts good then sink absolutely. guaranteed to sink. would never buy casper or any other foam mattress again, we had the hybrid one. avoid!
