There is plenty of mattress that are comfortable and affordable out there. But this mattress in particular has been a game changer. I no longer toss and turn in the night or wake up with back pain like I used to. Wether I got 8hrs of sleep or only 5 I wake up every morning feeling fresh and ready to go. Best investment in a long time!!!

I was fractionally disappointed with the un-boxing experience as once I'd removed the outer wrap, the inner wrap appeared to have a small hole in it so began expanding immediately, instead of letting me admire it for a moment before I set it off. It was finished expanding in a few minutes.
No smell noted, despite others having mentioned it, and I'm normally sensitive to such things.
First lie down - you don't sink in much immediately. Or much at all, it's just greatly supportive. I didn't really get on with it much until I changed to a tempur pillow I had lying around, that supported my neck the right amount, then loved it at that point.

We have been sleeping nightly on our Casper for about a year. The mattress is very comfortable in every regard; however, the foundation (which is meant to replace a box spring for a traditional bed frame) is terrible. We had to readjust almost weekly the slats in the platform due to movement that caused the mattress to dip. The foundation didn't last a year, as it fractured at the stress points where it rested upon the bed frame cross beams. We purchased from the largest retailer in the world a metal platform having a footprint that fits within the footprint of our bed frame. Now, we have our bed, our Casper mattress, and good sleep.

After having back surgery I didn't think I could find a mattress that felt good during the night and although I thought this felt too soft once I got in it it definitely supported me in all the right places.
