4+ might be closer, since a little firmer would be our first choice. But overall, in the past few weeks that we have used the mattress it has felt comfortable to my wife (a back sleeper) and me (a side sleeper). No fussy fancy cover to interfere with the mattress’ mechanics. The one thing we would like to have would be handles. Stiffer sidewalls would be another preference, but it doesn’t seem foam mattresses have them.
