[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Casper original mattress grows on you, Being used to sleeping on a firm mattress switching to casper had an initial adjustment period with some discomfort on back but later it really helped with shoulder pain for side sleeping and gives good back support while sleeping on the back. After using it for a month I like the balance of firmness, maintaining right temperature and comfort. I recommend it for someone whole switches between side sleeping and on back.
Only thing that can be pointed from my experience is the down side of too much cushion on the edges may sometimes feel little uncomfortable when trying to get off the bed.
Similar to other reviewers I thought all the issues I was experiencing with numbness in different sleeping positions, etc. were just me. Until I realized they didn't happen on any other mattresses. The mattress also does not hold up in shape/firmness/quality at all. We have had ours for 3 years and I'm already ready for a new mattress. It's really disappointing given the investment. I would not recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I bought the Casper original for ourselves a while back and we love it! Our 6 year old daughter has been complaining that she can’t get comfortable in her bed. I noticed how she zonked out in no time on ours so we ordered her one. The first night she slept like a log! After waking up the next morning, she even went back to her bed just to lay on it because it’s so comfortable. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone and everyone. Set up is super simple and quick.
We’ve had our Casper for 2 years and it’s been full of migraines, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, and upper back pain. I seriously thought I was just getting older and it wasn’t the mattress; and then last week we stayed at a Airbnb with a completely different mattress (much softer) and for a whole week, my pain and headaches were GONE. A little more about the last two years: When we first got the Casper, I was a slim 130lbs. 5’0”. Mostly a stomach sleeper. When I sat on the bed it felt soft. When I laid on it, it felt like a rock. I read that you can break it in by walking on it on hands and knees. I did they daily for a month. No difference. So I switched to walking on it. It helped a little. Fast forward 2 years and I’m 30lb heavier after COVID and the bed still doesn’t give to my body shape. It’s still really firm. My neck hurts so bad every morning and I’m constantly needing massages. I’ve tried all kinds of pillows too. Nothing helps. My husband, on the other hand, loves the bed and has never had any issues. After the softer bed, I invested in Novaform 3” memory foam topper because I can’t stomach buying another bed, and am finally waking up without any neck pain. No morning headache that required me to sit in bed for 15 minutes just to recover. All this to say, this bed is so much firmer than it seems. If you do well on a very firm bed, it may be a great fit. If not, definitely stay away from this mattress.
This mattress is freaking amazing, just buy it!!! I was often waking up sore before getting a Casper, and never knew how much of a difference a great mattress could make. Now I sleep/lounge comfortably every single night and I'm always so excited to get home to my bed after a trip!
Causing pain at shoulder, back and hip at 4 years.

After 4 years of owning the original I have shoulder and hip pain as a side sleeper. My husband has back pain as a back sleeper. According to Casper, my mattress is at its prime. However a mattress is supposed to last 7-10 years. This was just another memory foam mattress. I’m going with the industry veteran leader this time. Hopefully, I won’t have to buy another mattress for another decade.
