The bed sleeps well - especially comfortable when sleeping on one's side. But it smells....still. We took it out of the box 10 days ago. We have let it air out and have changed and rewashed the sheets a number of times and it still has a paint/petroleum odor. I am sensitive to smells and am really affected by this -- have slept elsewhere a few nights because it bothered me so much. May return in if the odor persists in the next few weeks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll be totally honest--I don't know if I love this mattress, neither does my husband. We did a lot of research before deciding on the Caspar, based on how we both sleep, and I think we had very high expectations about switching from a standard pillow-top. When you lay on this mattress, it's not particularly comfortable. It's very firm, and you are definitely more ON the bed, rather than IN the bed. It doesn't seem great. But then, somehow, we are both sleeping SO MUCH BETTER! He tosses and turns on the old mattress, and sleeps like a log on this one. On the old mattress, I'd go to bed with a sore back from lugging around a baby all day, and wake up with a still-sore back. This one, I go to bed sore, I wake up great! So I guess the mattress is exactly what we need, even if it's not what we think we want?!
