Comfortable - but off-gassing very much an issue

I purchased the Element Twin XL for my office, because our neighbor recently moved their bedroom to the room next to our bedroom and has been driving me up the wall with her noise. We have a cheaper Queen size mattress w/ springs and such, so I was unsure how the transition to a foam mattress would work for me.
Ultimately the price compared to other mattresses as well as numerous good reviews and write ups convinced me to go with a Casper, even when there were even cheaper foam alternatives available.
Shipping was pretty quick even during the ongoing pandemic. Unboxing it was a bit of a hassle but didn't end up taking too long. I was nervous about the off-gassing issue which I had read in so many reviews, but a customer service rep assured me it would only take a few hours in a well-ventilated room to disperse any smell if I experienced that issue.
Long story short, the bed is comfortable and has been working decently for me. It's soft but not too soft, accommodates my height and weight (I'm 6'3" and around 260 lbs - so it will feel firmer for people lighter than myself). The main issue I'm having at the moment is that there was a strange delay in the off-gassing. I'm starting to notice the smell fill the room after a night's sleep, where I didn't have that problem in the first few days. I've stripped the bed of any sheets and blankets I put on it and let it sit in a room with all the windows open AND an air purifier running all day, and I'm still getting some off-gassing chemical smells filling my room each morning after a night's rest. I'm guessing it's absorbing my body heat, which is in turn releasing that chemical smell from the foam and/or mattress cover, but still - I'm a little upset that this is an ongoing issue when I was assured by a customer service rep that it would be quickly resolved.
All in all, as far as comfort and usability, I'm relatively pleased so far (note that it's only been a week-ish, so the long-term effects of sleeping on this mattress are still yet to be seen). However, I'm knocking two stars off of this review because I feel like the off-gassing is very much an issue and I think it was downplayed in general to encourage my purchase. As someone who is very sensitive to smells, especially chemical smells like this produces which can give me long-lasting migraines, I'm unhappy with those developments and hope that issue resolves itself sooner than later. If not, I may have to explore returning this mattress within the 100-day return window.
I ordered this mattress about 3 years ago. At first, I thought it was great and very comfortable. After just a few months, I started to notice that it wasn't as comfortable. Now, 3 years later, it is the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. It sags terribly and my back hurts after just a few seconds. I can't lay on my back at all given how little support there is. I'm only 115 lbs so I can't imagine it working better for larger people. I bought a super inexpensive mattress for my guest room and now spend most of my nights on that. I originally purchased a Casper thinking it would last longer than some of the cheaper brands out there, but if I'm only going to get a year or two of us out of it, I might as well go with the cheaper ones.
I have now bought two Casper mattresses. The first one was a queen, the second was a twin.
Both mattress tend to move or slide off the bedsprings. Every morning I have to push it back into place. The queen is especially hard to move.
Another problem is the design of the matress cover. It has a 1/2 inch cord or rope that runs along the top of the mattress. The covers have tended to move and now are lopsided on the mattress. It is impossible to move the covers back into place.
The mattress sleeps well, but be prepared for issues.
So disappointed and serious buyes remorse. The mattress was so difficult to unpack. We got rid of a nest mattress and regret it. The smell was horrible. It made all my stuff reek. Uncomfortable. I waitedso long to buy it, it was a huge investment.
very visually appealing , over my time though im not sure ill be able to continue sleeping on it,. im getting soreness in my side as im a side sleeper and i was told this was a great bed for it.
I've only had the mattress for a week and I love it! I thought it would take some time to get used to but it didn't! I'm so happy to have a bed I love!
