Not ideal for side sleepers

We had chosen the white glove delivery option so setting up the mattress was hassle free. Tried the mattress for nearly 100 days but I’m waking up with aches around my arms and shoulders since I’m a side sleeper. Really wanted this mattress to work for us but will be returning it.

Over heat regularly. Too soft under waist and hip.

As much as I wanted to like this bed, I truly can’t stand it (sorry Casper). I’m 6ft 1in and 185lbs, a side sleeper, and find it way too soft under my waist causing my spine to curve uncomfortably. My remedy currently is sticking a thin pillow under my waist. By far the biggest problem I have though is that I routinely wake up in the middle of the night over heated. I’ve tried bamboo sheets, light weight blankets. Nothing works because the foam itself molds around your body and doesn’t breathe whatsoever. In the summer, with average 65 deg nights, I found myself sleeping on the couch more frequently than in this bed. No exaggeration. Maybe the higher priced beds are better, but think twice before purchasing such a soft foam mattress.

This bed SUCKS. If you are a side sleeper this bed is way too firm. Extremely uncomfortable and only gets more firm as time goes on. I’ve only had the bed for a couple years and I’ve already got to trash it and get something else. Way over hyped.

Good mattress but not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely a good mattress even if it didn’t work for me. My previous mattress was a Seale posturepedic and my hope with the Casper original mattress was that it would help me sleep better. I'm tracking my sleep using Fitbit's sleep tracker. After 10 weeks of using the mattress I can report that overall my deep sleep was not improved. I also have back ache more frequently than with the Seale posturepedic. Another issue I had when I first started using the mattress in early September was that the mattress felt hot. This is not an issue any more as the weather changes but I can imagine it being an issue again during summer. I would recommend other Casper mattresses that seem to be addressing the issue of how hot the mattress can get.
