We weren't sure we were doing the 'unboxing' right, but winged it and it worked out. The Casper mattress is much better than our old mattress. We definitely recommend it for great sleep.

After nearly 5 years had gotten quite saggy

When I first bought my Casper mattress in Dec 2016 I was in love! I would miss the mattress when I left. However, after nearly 5 years it's gotten quite uncomfortable and is causing pain for my partner and I. We have regularly rotated as Casper recommends, but now it just doesn't provide that great of support. Note that it's not "sagging," and thus I don't believe it's eligible for the 10 year warranty, but the mattress gives a lot more than it used to.
So if you're buying with the expectation to have for more than about 5 years, be wary! It's great until that point, however.

I got my OG Cali King Casper in July 2014, I was fishing through my emails trying to get a new mattress cover because I don’t really need a new mattress…I don’t think… just a cover and new duvet. It’s still great and I’ve only ever placed it on the floor since purchase. Pondering simply ordering a new one but not switching.

I would recommend the Casper to a friend, only in a firm. This was purchased for my daughter's house and is too soft for 2 people. We have a superfine king size for our house and we love it. This is the reason we went with the Casper for our daughter.

I have fallen in love with my Casper Wave Hybrid mattress! It was a bit of a journey to get here, this was actually the second mattress I ordered online. The first mattress I ordered came from another well-known company, but after sleeping on it for a month I had enough bad nights of sleep and returned it. The mattress felt like a brick wrapped in foam, which was not what I wanted.
That bad experience with another company left me reluctant to buy another mattress online so I decided to go into a few local mattress stores to try out their inventory. I must have laid on 30 different mattresses that weekend. I knew I wasn't quite ready to buy, but I wanted to get a feel for what I liked, then I would go back home, research customer reviews as well as any discounts available and make my purchase on the manufacturer website.
After all of that in-store product testing, and my research later that week, I decided to try the Casper Wave Hybrid.
Long story short, this has been the best mattress I've ever owned and one of the finest mattresses that I've ever used, and I travel a lot. I decided to get an adjustable base to go with mine and ever since I started sleeping with the head and foot slightly elevated, my lower back pain has completely gone away. It's quite amazing and I love it!
Skip returning the mattress from another company and buy a Casper from the start, you won' regret it!
