Good beds, shipping is a disaster

Mattress is great but shipping is a disaster. Received my products separately and in a non logical order. Expected all products to arrive by shipping date posted at purchase or else I would have bought my mattress elsewhere. Sent items one by one and started with mattress cover, base and then mattress. Took about 2-3 weeks in total.

Not what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is soft but much more firm than expected. It definitely retains a lot of heat. So far I have woke up with a very sore body for the past month. Will be returning.

The Casper king-size original mattress was our fourth attempt to find an acceptable replacement mattress for our seven-year-old memory foam mattress. Two of the previous mattresses we ordered were too soft, one too firm. The Casper was just right. Having said that, it isn't exactly what we expected. While it has memory foam, it does not have a traditional memory foam feel. Why? Because the memory foam is sandwiched between two layers of standard polyurethane foam. It has a more bouncy feel and is easier to move around on than our previous mattress. It is also better for intimate moments. I didn't give it five stars because the cover was stained in two places. It appeared that a foreign substance was on the mattress when it was folded and shrink-wrapped, leaving two stains. When notified, Casper promptly provided a replacement cover (the cover has a zipper all the way around on the bottom) and offered to replace the entire mattress if we wanted a new one. That was unnecessary because the stain did not penetrate through the cover.

Smelly! The off-gassing is horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing reeks! I don't have the luxury of letting it air out for weeks in a "spare bedroom" so I just have to live with the smell.
Otherwise, it is comfortable and meets my expectations.

As someone who had a stress fracture years ago and didn't know it, I have a lot of back issues. I kept hearing a lot about Casper mattresses and thought I would give them a try. Let me stress I am writing this review strictly for my body. I should have used the trial period and returned it but I thought it would get better, I wanted to love it....but I just don't, and my back absolutely hates it. I have more comfort sleeping in my recliner. I am now stuck with a mattress that all I do is toss and turn all night and wake up barely able to move in the morning. I even got the mattress that was for people with back issues, but it is just not comfortable for me. I will say this I absolutely love my pillow I purchased from them and they were a great company to buy from. The mattress is just hard and not suitable for my back issues, again it could just be my body. I would not purchase another one.
