Got this as a Valentine’s day gift for the dog belonging to a guy I was dating for several months. Decided to deliver it to his door the night before Valentine’s Day because he was picking me up the next morning for a Valentine’s Day trip, and I didn’t want to come out of my place carrying a huge gift for his dog. Plus, it’s a pretty sweet gesture for him to wake up to in the morning. Wrapped the box and photoshopped a Valentine’s Day card with a picture of his dog on a bed of roses. Next morning rolls around, he got the gift, but was unsure about who it was from. He thought it was from a neighbor. Hmmm.... totally makes sense, right? Thank you Casper for helping me dodge that bullet. <3

Immediately fell asleep

This is the first bed where my dog immediately jumped in it and then almost just as quickly fell asleep. All other beds have required a “break in” period for him to get used to it, but not this one!
This bed is very noisy. It sounds like an air mattress or inflatable bed. My dog gets in and moves around to get comfortable then gets right back out. I don’t think she likes the sound. I have put her favorite toys and blanket in and she still won’t use the bed. It also has a very strong chemical smell right out of the box that takes days to dissipate. It is strong enough that it gave me a headache. I would send the bed back but we are getting a new puppy in a couple of weeks so we will try it for her. The bed is well constructed and the cover seems durable so overall I am giving it three stars.
We always let Frankie sleep on our tempurpedic with us and it was getting crowded. He'd wake me up in the middle of the night to put him on the floor. He refused to sleep in his own bed so we decided to try the Casper on a friend's recommendation.
After a few attempts at putting him in the bed, he eventually started sleeping it voluntarily and I can see he really gets some solid sleep in there!
Our dog does not find the bed comfortable and avoids laying on it most of the time. She prefers fluffier and more moldable dog beds that she can nudge into a cozy shape. The Casper dog bed is too rigid for her.
This is our second Casper dog bed. Got another dog, so had to order another bed. We have a super chewer on our hands and the cover is indestructible. Our dogs sleep like there is no tomorrow. Our family says the beds should come with a supply of bedsore cream because you will have that much trouble getting your dog out of the bed. Only issue we have had with our old one is that the cover did get smelly after a while and retained the stink even after washing. Funny thing is that the dogs angle to get the older bed so I guess they like a little smell!
