My dog Cashmere LOVES her new Casper doggy mattress. She was snoring 2 minutes after resting in her bed, and she didn’t wake up before me and my husband for the first time! I was worried the bed would not be supportive enough for a big dog like her (she’s 1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 Rottweiler) but it is, yet soft enough for her joints. I know it may seem a little expensive for a dog bed but I promise is a good long term investment for you and your pup.
Since leaving her puppy crate, Zwoty has had an oval bed with bolster and center pillow. Well the pillow wore out,I replaced it. Having that for a few years, I noticed when she jumped form my bed she’d go to hers, then in the middle of the night I’d find her sleeping on the floor.
I saw a Casper ad for a dog bed. Thought why not, you offer 100 night test run. When the bed arrived I set it up and put it next to the old one. That night she put a paw on the Casper and then settled into her old one and later on the floor. The next night I took the old one to the basement and put one of her blankets on the Casper. She got into the bed and was there in the morning. Not on the floor! It’s been over a week and she’s in her bed every morning. Zwoty (Polish: złoty = gold) votes two paws up on the new bed..
My mommy has tried numerous beds for me - and that’s a lot because I’m 7 - and she always looks for one that’s easy to put together and can be washed regularly PLUS it has to be comfy for me. I love my Casper bed - it’s sooo comfy - and I can rest my head in the sides - that’s very important to me. She loved it so much she ordered a small one for my sister - she’s a Shih Tzu and doesn’t like her bed anymore - but she loves this one. BTW I’m a Basset hound - a very active boy who loves his Casper bed when I go to bed at night - naps in the day are good too.
Yoda always puts himself to bed around 8pm. He usually climbs onto our bed and sleeps until we kick him off. Now with Casper dog bed we find him on his own bed. I think he likes it more than our bed now. In the mornings he usually is very quick to get up and climb on top of us in the morning. Now when we call him in the morning he will look up at us first unsure if he really wants to leave his bed. We have to call him multiple times before he will reluctantly get up. I think the casper dog bed made our dog a bit more lazy.
I splurged on this bed for my 10 year old shepherd. Since it’s arrival, this bed always has an animal on it. I swear that they make appointments for their naps on it. It is animal approved in our house.
I have 4 doxies. The bed was in the house for 10 days before any fog showed intetest. Perry, finally went in and rested for an evening. Not gone in again, any of them. So, not sure, may return.
