My dog loves to sleep in a ball and prefers a smaller bed. He is 65lbs so I opted for the medium bed. The bed itself it made very well I loved the color (tan) and the cover slips on and off easily. However, the bed is noisy. When my pup would change positions in the middle of the night it would wake me up. His previous bed had a bolstered walls and I thought this one would be similar, but the sides are not very high. So this bed will be going in the living room and won't be his primary bed.
This bed seems great, however, my 18 month old Miniature Australian Shepherd with Hip dysplasia will not yet sleep in it. We are not giving up just yet
i was questioning my own sanity when I ordered a Casper for my dog rather than one for my wife and myself (we definitely need a new one mattress). But, this bed was the best money ever spent on our dog. She loves her Casper as much as she loves chasing balls and going on long walks. This is a top-quality product, happily made in the USA (a big selling point for me). She's gone through poly-filled beds that over time have simply come apart. This Casper is going nowhere. It's been about nine months now and this bed is as good as new despite 80 lbs. of variously sprawled out pooch-sleeping. It's plenty big for our big dog (she sometimes looks like a pup in it) and the bumpers serve as a picture-begging chin rest for her during day and evening naps. i can't say enough about this dog bed. My SOP is buy it once, buy it right. THIS bed ranks at the top of the dog equipment category under that principle. It's not cheap up front, but you get what you pay for; over time I'm confident that the Casper will prove itself far better and ultimately more cost effective than any of the less expensive dog beds I've either owned or researched. Do it! (We'll be back for our own Casper mattress soon enough!)
Ginger used to sleep on our bed, crowding me at night and disturbing my sleep- we moved to a newer, smaller home and she had difficulty getting on and off our bed. Bought the Casper and now she won't sleep anywhere else. We often find she goes in the bedroom to take a nap on the Casper bed and goes to bed earlier than we do! She seems to sleep better (and quieter). Easy to keep clean - we've had it for over a year and very happy with the purchase.
I purchased two large beds, I have a 68 lbs Pit Bull and 120 lbs Dogo Argentino. They can both share a bed when in to mood to snuggle. Most of the time they each sleep in their own bed.
So far, they are both sleeping soundly. Perfect dog bed for big dogs, plenty of padding and plenty of room to stretch out or snuggle up.
