Is it really made of the same foam as the human mattresses? Was disappointed out of the box because it looks like the kind of foam I typically see in dog beds, nothing special. My dog generally like the bed, She still favor's my other dog's "orthopedic pillow top" sealy dog bed but does sleep in her casper. I think what she likes best is the bolsters because she rests her chin on them.
Joey loves his new bed. Great quality and materials. Went with the medium to give him more room since it will double as a landing pad because our dog likes to jump off the couch. Over all really happy with the purchase.
Like I’m sure most people who are ordering this bed, they have a very discerning dog. We are no exception. We purchased this dog mattress to break the habit of having our dog in bed with us. It just became too much for us to handle and too uncomfortable despite having a king-sized bed. Our beagle slept in it the very first night. Granted I ordered her a very cozy blanket too and I’m sure that helped a lot but she knows the Casper bed is hers and she goes to it every evening now without complaining and falls asleep almost instantaneously. I think Casper should sweeten the deal and consider having a really cool blanket and pillow as part of the package. But overall it’s a great bed and my beagle seems to be quite happy with it.
I actually bought this bed for my cat. She's older with bad arthritis in her back legs and quite large, abut 17-18 lbs. I have make-shift cat beds all over the house made of folded, plush blankets for her comfort because I don't like the construction of most of the pet beds. The only disappointment I had with the casper pet bed is that it appears to be ordinary foam, not memory foam. I guess it just didn't meet my expectation for firmness. The bed is easy to assemble, easy to clean, made of very durable outer material. Although, I have lined it with one of her plush blankets that she likes to knead because the bed is more of a canvas-like material. Bizzy loves her Casper bed. The edges are high enough and soft, and she curls up in it and sleeps soundly. There is also enough room for her to stretch out and groom if she needs to.
The bed is supportive and makes me feel secure with high sides. It's high enough off the ground that I stay warm. My hooman found it easy to assemble and hopes she'll be able to wash all my beautiful smells away easily.
I was very impressed by the Casper dog mattress and my boyfriend and I debated the purchase for some time. After our little buddy tore apart his current (cheap) bed, we decided to take the leap. We're both impressed with the overall size, color and general construction of the mattress - seems comfy, is compact, cute, and durable. Our dog, Schooner (dachshund mix), isn't quite sold yet after the first few weeks - I think he might have liked the freebie toy more than the mattress itself. I'm going to give it some time and general encouragement and see how it goes. I'm fairly confident he won't be able to destroy it, so that's a bonus in and of itself. Not sure how helpful this is, but there you have it!
