Easy to use, still boils water lightning fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for a 2017 KitchenAid 30 inch version that was already in our home. While we liked the induction cooktop concept to replace it when it went out, my wife indicates the new glass top is not as easy to keep clean as the old top, and she is disappointed in that. The sensor technology is a nice addition and the 5 burners is actually easier to deal with than our old 4 burner. The other minor (albeit costly) issue was we were told by our vendor the new top would fit the cutout as it was still a 30 inch KitchenAid. Well, it did not, we had to bring in a countertop professional and he had to enlarge our cutout by 1 inch. So same brand, newer model, slightly different size. This the 4 stars instead of 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Kitchen Aid induction cooktop, our new home didn’t have the option of anything but gas. That was the most horrible thing that my wife and I had ever tried to cook on, we kept it for about 10 months then installed the Kitchen Aid cooktop.
We have really enjoyed it and our zkitchen Aid refrigerator
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a regular glass cooktop with this because i was concerned about how long it takes for a regular cooktop to cool down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful sleek design. I would have preferred a more flush mount.

My second induction cooktop. Still the best option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lives up to the promise of safety and responsiveness. Next time we'll get a model with controls vertically on the right or left because of issues with leaning over the controls to cook (inadvertent changes!).

A Design and Standards Challenge Not Yet Met
on February 7, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My rating has as much to do with the current state of the market for in induction cooktops as it does the cooktop itself. We have cooked with induction since 2017 and are big fans. Therefore when we purchased a new condo we asked the builder to put in an induction cooktop. Since all the other major appliances in the condo were KitchenAid, he put in this KitchenAid cooktop. The problem is that the cooktop is not compatible with any of the high-end Demeyere cookware we purchased. We were shocked both because Demeyere is internationally renowned for its quality and design for induction and because we have used Demeyere on our 2017 JennAir induction with great success for years. Having purchased a warranty for all our new KitchenAid appliances we called and arranged for an authorized technician to see if there was something wrong with our cooktop that affected its compatibility with the cookware. The technician called KitchenAid warranty repair and was told (in our hearing as he was on speaker phone) that as long as the cooktop worked with cast iron cookware the problem was with our cookware. So we took our Demeyere pans to an appliance shop and it worked with every induction cooktop in the showroom; just not our Kitchenaid in the condo. It is ridiculous to set the standard for adequate ferrous content for induction cookware to cast iron. Of course cast iron pans have enough iron. To return to my earlier comment about standards: there ought to be an industry-wide standard for ferrous content before cookware can be called induction compatible. Until there is, it is KichenAid's responsibility to engineer it's products to be compatible with the top brands of induction cookware. it is not much satisfaction that our brand new induction cooktop works with cast iron when our complete set of Demeyere top-of-the-line induction pots and pans sit unused.
