This is an excellent product. I would order it again. INFO: (1) You do not have to order a case of 160 masks. If you are an individual consumer, you can order a box of 20. (2) All N95 and KN95 masks have a slight odor that comes from the chemicals in the filters. The odor bothers some people. You should let the mask air out before using it. (3) The masks should not be stored in a sealed plastic bag. They come in a plastic bag that is open at one end. You should store them the same way, so they are open to room air. WARNING: You must follow the instructions for hand-stretching the straps before you put on the mask. Some people did not read the instructions, and did not hand-stretch their masks, and they said that the straps were too tight, or they broke.
I purchased the exact same model mask prior to the pandemic and all were neutral smelling out of the box. The previous version used cloth elastic straps and were comfortable to wear. The masks I purchased recently have an offensive odor and use rubber/latex straps and seem to be sized for a child's head. Having been a previous consumer of this product, I expected a company like 3M to meet the standard of disposable respirators.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It sounds like you are referring to the 8210Plus model that has more of a covered elastic strap. The straps on the model you purchased must be pre-stretched prior to the first usage. Please refer to the user instructions on the box.
Very well made but super tight fitting. The rubber bands fit around the head are very tight. I suspect that allows for better, secure fit.

Thank you for your comments and product feedback. That is correct that the elastic head bands are necessary in order for the mask to fit securely. If a respirator does not seal well to your face, airborne hazards can enter around the gaps between the faceseal and the face. Please note, the straps on this respirator need to be pre-stretched prior to first use. The user instructions are inside the box.
Dislike the elastic straps very much. Wish they were coated with fabric over the elastic.

Completely unusable. The rubber straps are uncomfortably tight and have no adjustment. A complete waste of money.

Much like the other reviewers, I have had a problem with the straps breaking after a day or two of use. The older version of the strap was much more durable and could be worn as long as needed without breakage. Hoping they return to the previous strap material soon, as this case isn't going to last me very long at the rate these break.
