I know some think the owlet is controversial but I couldn't do without it. After 3 years of IVF our baby was born a bit premature and had a BRUE at 1 month. ( yeah, I didn't know this was a thing either!!!). I ordered it same day at 2 am in the ER, spent another 8 hours at the hospital monitoring. Thankfully we haven't had another incident and right when we stopped using it baby came down with croup. I was glad I could put her back in our room and feel comfortable knowing she was not having difficulties breathing, and when she WAS! I was able to monitor her O2 to recognize when we needed to intervene.

Disappointing downgrade

I am a former Smart Sock 2 owner and upgraded to the Dream sock for my baby born this past August, as the Smart Sock 2 was no longer being supported. Either I got a lemon, or the dream sock is truly a downgrade. Daily, if not multiple times a day, we will get notifications of the sock being disconnected from the base, with the base being no farther than 15 feet away with no obstructions. When it finally reconnects, the Bluetooth signal is “good,” so this isn’t a matter of it being far away. I am also very well versed in positioning the sock on my baby, so that’s not the issue either. These shrill notifications are incredibly disruptive. The app is painfully slow and often takes a good 15-20 seconds to connect to the base station so I can silence the alarm, if the base isn’t within an arm’s reach for me to do so manually. With the Smart Sock 2, I think I only ever had 4 disconnected alarms throughout my baby’s first year. Overall I’m just disappointed in the disruptive connection issues. When the sock is working, it seems to detect everything appropriately. We have only had one false red alarm during the first week of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As a first time mom with postpartum anxiety this has been a huge life savior. It was recommended by a friend and I absolutely love it. I plan on having all future kids wear this and for my current little one continue with it until he’s older. I also haven’t had any issue with false alerts so that’s been great. Definitely a must have and recommendation I give to friends who are expecting!

Been using the owlet dream sock for about a week now. We really like the idea of letting us know when her levels are below or above average. It makes us feel more secure in leaving the room. Only thing we don’t like is it seems to say she is awake when she definitely is not

Love the product

I got this item as a gift and I am so glad I asked for it. As a first time mom I have anxiety whenever my little one is napping or sleeping and with this I can monitor her sleeping and her overall sleep habits from my phone. I would definitely recommend this item!

Excited to use!

We are getting ready to welcome our little one into this world and we are very excited to use this! We have heard nothing but great things about this from friends that have been very happy to have one of our own. This is going to give us piece of mind at night knowing that we can check in whenever we want to make sure our little bundle of joy is safe and sound!

Peace of Mind

We had the Owlet smart sock with our first daughter and now have the dream sock with our second baby. We love the sock! It gives great peace of mind and reassurance. I love the addition of the sleep guide with the dream sock. Lets you know when baby might need to go down for a nap and has more in depth view of their sleep patterns. Highly recommend!

I like it but also disappointed

I like it but I'm disappointed.
I have the cam2 mounted on the wall above the crib and it will not detect baby's motion. If I'm at the crib laying baby down, it will detect that. However, when baby is left alone it will not. I've been using the Leap Frog monitor which I absolutely love. It will detect the smallest twitch. However, I wanted something to monitor baby's slp patterns, so I purchased the Owlet. After the 1st night, the Leap Frog consistently detected motion, and the Owlet did not. Not even once. I moved the monitor closer to the crib and it still won't detect motion even on highest sensitivity. I've used the troubleshooting suggestions and still the same. Still debating if I should keep it.
