Great Peace of mind!

We loved having the sock with our son as first time parents. It was easy to set up and very accurate. It gave us peace of mind knowing we could monitor our baby even in the dark. Definitely recommend this product!

Additional Peace of Mind

After a lot of research, my husband and I decided that this was a must have for our peace of mind for our first child. It is hard enough to sleep as a first time parent with the anxiety of their safety and knowing the sock is on her and that it will alert us if there is an issue or even if the sock is not placed properly for a reading gives us a bit more reassurance. Additionally, it gives a lot of insight to how well she is sleeping to be able to review her sleep patterns. We really like the phone app but I also appreciate that you can deactivate the alert by pressing the physical button on the charging dock if you keep this close to your bedside. We have found that the sock is comfortable for her to wear and she doesn’t even notice it or mind when it is on her! This is worth the investment and we can’t recommend it enough and have friends that have purchased in feel the same. Great for parents!

We were very nervous as first time parents bringing a baby home and getting sleep. The owlet sock was a life saver to help us feel confident through the night. The stats were a great feature to track her sleep and help us making adjustments to gain longer stretches. Since the sock works off bluetooth and not wifi so I’m any instance if a wifi outage, i was worried i would not hear the base and just used a 2 way monitor to help us. The base does have good reach but not in our homes. That would be the best area for improvement. Other than that we love the sock. This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion.

Love the product and easy to use app!

I bought the owlet sock when my baby was about a month old, and I will forever have one when I have the rest of my children. It gives me such a peace of mind to fall asleep and I honestly have had no problems with it. 10/10 would recommend!

Re-Assurance

I didn’t think I would like this product originally but my wife insisted we buy it to help re-assure her everything was okay since it was our first born. We use it every night and sometimes during the day if we both want to take a nap at the same time while our baby sleeps. I wish there was a little more functionality with the data collected from the sensor but I do like being able to see how much deep and regular sleep our baby is getting. I also like the info provided by the dream lab that provides info week by week with the progression of our child. I recommend this if you just need a little extra re-assurance if you are nervous about leaving your child whether for a few minutes or all day.

Good supplementary device*

Sock works pretty well. I like being able to monitor my son’s vitals and I hope it will alert me if he ever has an issue. It is a much better product than the camera which I would not recommend.
If you use the sock in conjunction with another type of monitoring, like an audio monitor or a non-Owler camera, the sock can provide an added layer of monitoring for your child. I, personally, would not rely on Owlet products alone, however. Their monitoring is spotty at best.
As for the sock’s functionality itself, we’ve had a couple of alerts from the sock occur when he was awake and in our arms and totally fine. Personally, I would rather get too many alerts than it not alert me when he does need something, though, so I didn’t mind.
Sometimes if he’s very squirmy during a feeding, he’ll kick the sock into a poor position and then it will wake the parent who isn’t up with him, but again, better to know than to sleep through a potential real issue.
My biggest issue is with Owlet’s customer service. They are not inclined to provide, what I feel is adequate support for their products. If you have an issue, consider that a refund is off the table and they may not be willing or able to offer technical support beyond basic troubleshooting (i.e. Is your app updated to the latest version, do you have a strong wifi signal, etc.)

Great hardware, Trash software

Highly suggest reading the App Store reviews before purchasing. The Dream Sock itself is great with the exception of the short connection distance from the base. The app has serious issues, and customer service simply told us that they were aware but couldn’t say when or if the issues would be fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using my smart/dream sock for over 2 years now and have ways been beyond happy with it. I had one issue with the battery shortly after receiving it and the Owlet customer service quickly helped me out and got it replaced at no charge.
