Worth it but flawed

It’s a great product but I will say it is very sensitive with the base station and disconnects frequently. It also doesn’t work in hotels. For a family that travels constantly that’s not ideal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok at best. Not sure if I’d buy again

I would rate this a 2 at best. If the child is in light or heavy in sleep, the graph is slow and behind. The sock disconnects very easily even if you are in the same room. We have been standing right next to the home base and it’s alerted us that the sock was disconnected. We double checked sock placement and everything is correct. The only good time to read and analyze the app is when it’s on the child. Once you take the sock off, it would be nice to give you a summarized sleep from the previous night. The one thing I would say is that the alerts are loud. Not sure if I’d buy again or recommend anyone to purchase it.

Does give peace of mind but also has flaws

I want to start off with saying that I do love our owlet sock. It gives us the peace of mind which is exactly what we were looking to have. However, the amount of times I have just gotten my baby to sleep and the owlet sock alarm goes off saying it lost connection yet the base station is right next to where we are the sock is not too tight or too loose and in good placement has got to be the most frustrating thing in the entire world. It will not stop going off until I take the sock off my baby put it back on the base station and try it all over again but now I have an awake baby. I will also say the app is a hit or miss with working and wifi cuts in and out. I would overall recommend the product but for the money you spend it is one of the most frustrating items when that alarm goes off for no reason.

Good but not great

Product works great when child is sleeping but it’s very sensitive to wiggling especially when you are trying to hold your baby to get them to go to sleep. Frustrating!

Overpriced and unnecessary

Constant false alarms, connection lost, the list goes on and on. I wish my wife never bought this.

Not worth the money

Terrible item. You can’t leave the room or the base station goes off. We change the baby and it goes off due to connectivity issues.
Feedback: should be able to go anywhere in the house without the base station going off. Should be able to change a baby without it going off. Maybe add a pause feature. We are going to be returning this item very soon.

We're so sorry about any experience which has fallen short of your expectations, as that is never our goal. The ranges and notifications for FDA-cleared Dream Sock are preset and not adjustable. Dream Sock is designed to get readings through gentle motion, like your baby’s wiggly feet. However, the sock sensor may have a harder time getting clear readings when there’s a lot of motion. One thing that may help during times of increased movement, like burping or rocking your baby to sleep, is temporarily turning off monitoring via the Owlet Dream App. You can do this by turning the Base Station toggle off in the Owlet Dream App.

If you forget to toggle it back on, we’ve got your back. When the Base Station is powered off, a monitoring session will begin automatically after 20 minutes, if 4 minutes of consecutive readings are detected through Recovery Mode.

PEACE OF MIND

My baby was in the NICU for episodes regarding his breathing and oxygen saturation and as first time parents we were so nervous and worried to bring him home but at the same time so ready to finally have him with the us. Without the owlet, I don’t think I would’ve kept any sanity or got even a little bit of rest. This product has been a miracle for us. We have recommended it to all of our expecting friends and even the ones that know they eventually want a child.

Constant Connection Issues

Connection issue alarm goes off no less than 5 times a night. Not sure if the “peace of mind” is worth the constant connection alarm that wakes up the baby and me. For the price you would think they’d have this problem somewhat figured out.
