Does give peace of mind but also has flaws

I want to start off with saying that I do love our owlet sock. It gives us the peace of mind which is exactly what we were looking to have. However, the amount of times I have just gotten my baby to sleep and the owlet sock alarm goes off saying it lost connection yet the base station is right next to where we are the sock is not too tight or too loose and in good placement has got to be the most frustrating thing in the entire world. It will not stop going off until I take the sock off my baby put it back on the base station and try it all over again but now I have an awake baby. I will also say the app is a hit or miss with working and wifi cuts in and out. I would overall recommend the product but for the money you spend it is one of the most frustrating items when that alarm goes off for no reason.

Good but not great

Product works great when child is sleeping but it’s very sensitive to wiggling especially when you are trying to hold your baby to get them to go to sleep. Frustrating!

FDA warning ruined the product

Bought this for my baby because I saw a few YouTube videos and thought it would be perfect to have some peace of mind as a new mom. Apparently from the time I did my research to now they have been given a warning by the FDA and completely changed the product. It’s just a monitor and will not alert you about baby. The app is a nightmare, I’m extremely upset it took me this long to realize the product I researched and the product I received are not the same

At first we loved it for when our child got sick, it gave us a piece of mind, but after using it a couple of times we noticed our child had a burn on her foot right where the monitor was. I do not recommend this product because of that! If I had a photo and was with my child right now I would leave a photo but I’m not.

Not user friendly

Good product by concept. Works well once you get it going, but it is a chore every time we use it. A chore is one more thing you dont need. Its getting the app to connect amd read the sock so open and close the app and stare at it for sometime 10-15 minutes then it finally works. Then the alarm if it is not sitting juuust right. These are things you are not trying to deal with while getting baby down.

Perfect if your house has no walls!

Does your baby stay perfectly still? Does your house have no walls? Do you get too much sleep? If the answer to these three questions is “yes”, you’ll love the Owlet Dream Sock.
There are some pros: (1) Owlet makes sure you never miss a moment. If your baby enjoys moving, the Owlet Dream Sock will “have trouble getting readings” and will helpfully beep extremely loudly so that you can observe the amazing phenomenon of your little bundle of joy fussing in the bassinet. (2) Owlet makes sure you know just how helpful your spouse is. If your house has walls (mine does!) and your spouse takes the baby in the next room so you aren’t disturbed by the crying, the Dream Sock will experience a “connection issue” and beep extremely loudly to inform you of your spouse’s good deed.
Unfortunately, these amazing features can’t be disabled. You’ll just have to deal with connection issues and difficulties getting readings that you can’t do anything about, even if you’d rather just get some sleep instead of fumbling around to turn the thing off for twenty minutes until the issue resolves itself.
Other than that it’s great.

Works, sometimes

The Bluetooth connection is very finicky. Often times the base station will not connect to sock correctly. The battery percentage constantly changes. It will say I have 14, 15, 4, or 10 hours left of battery, then say fully charged when I connect it to the base. Overall I have not been able to keep the sock connected for a full overnight session. It's super disappointing because the product was expensive, and I need it to actually work so I can get some sleep at night.

Would have rated 5 stars but it burned my baby

We loved using this for our child - it gave me total peace of mind and worked great for several months. Then, I noticed a small red mark on my baby's foot. I didn't think much of it until the next day when I saw another similar mark on my baby's other foot. Both lined up exactly with on of the sensors on the sock. I was horrified and disappointment because the sock is EXPENSIVE. I wanted to buy a new one so that we could use it for future children...saved up and made it our one big purchase. I am incredibly disappointed to no longer be using it and to have spent all that money on something that hurt my daughter.
