The owlet is a dream come true. I just had my 3rd baby, I sleep better than I ever did with my 2 previous children. It gives me comfort and peace of mind to know the owlet is monitoring not only her heart rate but oxygen as well. We had a scary incident with giving her her first bath and she swallowed/choked on bath water. I immediately put the owlet on her and monitored her all night. It is the best purchase you could make for your baby.

Usually works great and gives me piece of mind and also helps me track naps and nighttime sleep. But lately there’s been an issue with it syncing to my phone which gets really annoying.

The best thing I have for my newborn! It gives me such peace of mind through out the night. Anyone I know who is pregnant I also tell them the number one thing they need to buy is an Owlet!

Overall the sock is a great resource for parents to ease their minds that their baby is breathing well while sleeping. The only downside is not having a continuous pleth to be able to see the accuracy of the number being shown on the app. Also would love to have the ability to have the app display while using another monitor that requires a phone app so you don’t have to switch back and forth.

When my other babies were born, the Owlet wasn’t even a thing. 12 years later and I wasn’t sure if it was a necessity this time around. But when our full term, 9lbs 7oz baby ended up in the NICU for oxygen and heart rate issues, this was recommended to us by our doctor for peace of mind when we were able to finally bring her home. It has since become a part of our nightly routine and we look forward to checking out the stats every morning, while having peace of mind throughout the night that only the Owlet can give us. I am absolutely thankful that we invested in Owlet!

I wanted to love the Owlet sock – as a new mom, the idea of peace of mind while my baby slept was so appealing. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but comforting.
We had the sock on our baby exactly as instructed. One night, the red alert went off suddenly, signaling that she wasn’t breathing. I panicked, my heart dropped, and we rushed to check her – only to find her breathing just fine. She was sleeping peacefully. It turned out to be a false alarm – a total fluke – but it terrified us.
Even worse, after taking the sock off, we noticed a red mark on her foot. Within a day or so, it turned into what looked like a small burn or blister. After closely inspecting the sock and researching similar stories, I realized this wasn’t just a one-off – other parents have experienced the same issue. The sock had literally burned a hole into our baby’s delicate skin.
For a product marketed as a safety tool, this was a huge betrayal of trust. I expected peace of mind, not trauma and injury. I would urge parents to be cautious before relying on the Owlet sock. No amount of tracking is worth risking your baby’s comfort and safety.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
