My friend recommended the Owlet sock after her first child was born, and I had it on my registry for my first baby. He was born prematurely, and we ended up transitioning him to his own room pretty early on. The owlet sock has been incredible for peace of mind for us! Once we got through the quirks of putting it on correctly, we don’t have any “false alarms” and even if we did, I would rather be alerted too many times that were faulty vs not being alerted the one time it might not be faulty. I will say, the camera has been a little finicky to connect with the app. Some times it gives us trouble and the app takes a while to load. I highly recommend the sock, but have considered getting a different monitor due to how wonky it is!

I love the peace of mind that the Owelet gives us! The only downfall is that it’s hard to keep the sensor clean and sometimes has a hard time recognizing the base. Even with these findings, I would still purchase and use again. We’ve traveled with it and used it every day since our baby was born. It is truly the peace of mind we needed to sleep well.

I absolutely love my Owlet Dream Duo. The amount of peace of mind it has given me as a first-time mom, especially while dealing with postpartum anxiety, is honestly hard to put into words. I genuinely don’t know how much sleep I would have gotten without it. Being able to check on my baby and see his data without constantly getting up or wondering if everything is okay has helped me actually relax enough to sleep.
The data and insights are fantastic, and I love being able to see everything in one place. The camera quality is great, and overall this has become something I rely on every single night.
There are a couple of things I’d love to see improved. The app can be frustrating, and the user interface could definitely be more intuitive and streamlined. I also really wish the Bluetooth range for the sock/base station was longer, or that Owlet offered some type of range extender. My baby’s room is pretty far from our bedroom, so the limited range can make placement tricky.
Those things aside, I absolutely love the product itself. The information and reassurance it provides have been invaluable to me, and the peace of mind alone makes it worth it. This is easily one of my favorite baby purchases, and I would 100% buy it again.

Highly recommend purchasing the Owlet Dream Sock. I had some pretty intense postpartum anxiety and this has helped tremendously in giving me some piece of mind, especially at night. Sleep is so much easier for because I know that rather than waking up to check on my baby every so often, that I will be alerted if something was not quite right. We made the right decision with this purchase!
