Great for peace of mind, but didn’t last

We used this product for our first born and it was great to give of peace of mind. We liked it so much we purchased a second for our next child. However, after about a year and a half the battery was not lasting the night and now as we approach its second year it mow alarms due to connectivity issues multiple times a night. It has become nearly unusable. We reached out to owlet customer care and they explained it was outside of the 1 year warranty, which us fine, but we recently purchased the extension pack which was also expensive and they are saying we need to purchase a whole new sensor unit. For a product that I have recommended to friends and family and have bought as a gift for multiple expecting parents, I was really disappointed in their response, warranties aside, just feels like a product at this cost should last more than 2 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of money

Have bought 3 different ones in the last 2 days and can’t even get past the set up. Every one says “sock is disconnected from base station” no matter what you do it will not connect. We’ve even tried calling and walking through it with them on the phone. I do not recommend.

They do work but not for long.

They do work and it does give peace of mind, but they don’t seem to have a very long life span. Unfortunately I’m about to order my 3rd in 4 years

I want to love this

If the base stays connected to the wifi, this is amazing. The live readings are very reassuring. However, on several occasions, the base disconnects from the wifi, and won't reconnect automatically which is super unhelpful at 4am during a feeding. The set up is cumbersome, and 100% wakes up my baby. This has potential to be great, it just isn't right now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

peace of mind while sleeping

I bought this two months ago and I have to say it has changed everything for me I can sleep well without overthinking about my baby! We have had a previous loss with our first daughter in 2021 due to a heart condition and have not been the same since.. we welcomed our rainbow baby in October and the owlet sock has gave us a peace of mind like no other! I know a lot of people complain about false alarms but we also experience false alarms while in the NICU with our first! The bass station changed different colors when it goes off. Purple for them needing help to go to sleep - yellow for it having trouble reading due to baby moving too much or you rocking baby and- RED which is the most important one! I definitely recommend the owlet sock to those who can afford it!

What a pain in the …. To connect it

I can’t express how frustrating it was to try connecting the Owlet Sock. The process was impossible because of something as technical as needing a 2.4 GHz WiFi instead of 5 GHz. This is absurd for a device that should be user-friendly, especially considering its target audience: parents who want peace of mind, not a tech nightmare.
For the price, I expected a seamless user experience. Instead, I was met with ridiculous technical requirements that aren’t clearly mentioned when purchasing. If you don’t have advanced tech knowledge or the “right” WiFi setup, this product simply won’t work.
In my opinion, this is a scam. A company charging this much for a product should ensure it works without such complications. I absolutely do not recommend it.

The device does not connect to the app.

Please do not waste your money on this. The device does not connect to the app - instead it tells me that my device is not Dream Sock and prompt me to buy Dream Sock.
You can see the trend in recent reviews - they are really bad. Their recent updates on the app made it so buggy and they do not seem to do anything to fix it.

Connection issue

Bought this 12/2023 for my daughter born 2/2024 and the base stopped connecting 11/2024. This will NOT last you a full year. This is very disappointing for a device that costed so much. Yes, we have done all troubleshooting. DO NOT waste your money.
