You will be told by doctors not to use or trust this device. I think that’s bad advice as you can always use this tool as an extra data point. We use it as a peace of mind - when an alarm goes off that points to his heart rate or oxygen being at high or low levels, we first go through the check list of issues it could be BEFORE we jump to conclusions that something is medically wrong with our baby. I think this tool works for what we use it for-extreme circumstances where he may be breathing really inadequately or something is majorly wrong w his heart rate. We try not to sweat the in btwn unless it’s followed with other symptoms. All this to say, this tool is what you make of it.

Our son is 4 months old and we have used the Owlet every night since he was born. It truly gives me a peace of mind knowing that he is being monitored throughout the night. My only complaint is with the app. I wish that the app allowed you to put a widget of the live monitor stats on your Lock Screen of your cellphone so that I didn’t have to go into the app constantly to check in on him.
