Love the owler!

The owlet was a gift to me from my brother and SIL! I do absolutely love the device and the peace of mind I receive. The ONLY issue I have is how absolute slow the app is regarding readings. It takes absolutely forever for it to update whenever trying to update the readings.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good features, bad app

I love my daughter’s owlet and its features, but I really dislike the updated app. I like to check her sleep stats periodically throughout the night and the updated “live” sleep version takes a long time to load.

Peace of mind when working properly

When the sock is working properly, it offers a great peace of mind. I’m able to sleep knowing my newborn is safe. The downside is the sensitivity of the sock is finicky where the sock will be placed properly and all of a sudden the alarm is going off saying placement issue-we just wait five minutes and it starts working again. The problem is that tends to happen when we’re trying to put the baby down to sleep and the alarm wakes him up. There needs to be notification adjustments in the app where we can mute them for longer periods of time or mute them in the app and not have to rely on physically pressing the base to mute it. For how expensive the product is, I wish it were more reliable.

Anxiety Reliever

The dream sock is a total anxiety reliever as this is my first kid and there were a lot of learnings. I love the live readings and to see how long he’s been awake, in light sleep and deep sleep. I wish I was able to see those totals in the history tab as I would love to compare how much sleep he’s getting in days prior, especially deep sleep.

Fantastic except...

Don't get me wrong, I love it and still recommend it to everyone looking for monitor recommendations. Now I simply qualify it with "don't do the update thing when your baby is a month old'. Two big things that change that are frustrating if you choose to do the fancier "health notifications" option: 1) it does the same blaring notification sound for all notification categories instead of just the health related ones (blaring sounds when it's just a signal problem or when baby is moving too much, rather than the little song it did before), and 2) it will turn itself back on after so many minutes, meaning if your baby is having a rough night you have to keep turning it off over and over again or just unplug the base until you're done. I have found no way to turn these "features" off. I still use it every night and am unlikely to stop, but it's a definite qualifier when I recommend the Owlet sock to people now

Peace of mind. Originally we bought the sock just to monitor the breathing and heart rate. Later on, This helps me know when is my baby sleeping deeply or lightly, so I can make decisions. Also, Helps me monitor the naps. Its been extremely helpful in times were she has a fever or cold, and I monitor oxygen. The information in the app is very helpful too, the complementary articles, nap information of wake windows, sleep windows. I absolutely love this item.

Helps me sleep better at night!

I got the dream as a baby shower gift off my registry and I have used it every night since bringing my daughter home. Knowing that she is wearing it and that it keeps track of her sleep and vitals has been very reassuring! I definitely know that I sleep well knowing that the dream sock will alert me if her heart rate or oxygen gets too low! I did only give 4 start’s though because sometimes on the app there will be a section that says “no data” and the data doesn’t show up until days later.

Glad we have it, but the glitches are annoying

The device itself is easy to use and we love the peace of mind it offers. However, we get non-health notifications all the time like lost sensor connection, difficulty getting readings, etc. and they always wake us up or wake up the person who isn’t doing the night feed. I wish there was a way to change the sounds/volumes on the base station for each individual notification type. I will also say the app sucks. I like that it tracks cycles, but the bar chart lags behind at least a half hour so I can’t see how long his current cycle is. It also doesn’t tell me sleep quality like it says it should, only whether it’s light sleep, deep sleep, or awake.
I would recommend this to a friend!
