Reassurance to help monitor my baby and ensure her oxygen and heart rate are normal while sleeping. It was difficult to get sock to stay on as a brand newborn but after a few weeks she grew into it. I have had a few alarms at night where the sock came misplaced or it had trouble reading. Only complaint is I wish the base station was louder and it would create an alert through my phone.

This gives me peace of mind at night. I don’t use it during naps but do at bedtime. When my baby started sleeping longer stretches, I was also able to sleep better when using the sock and knowing she’s ok. The only negative is that you will get a lot of alerts if the baby is very wiggly. It will keep going off every 60sec until baby calms down.

The Owlet gives me such peace of mind as an anxious mommy. It really helps you fall asleep easier knowing you'll be notified if anything happens! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, is it seems that anytime my baby wakes up crying and kicks his feet, I get a “check sock placement” notification which is LOUD in the middle of the night! You then have to find your phone to stop the alarm while dealing with baby. I have it as tight as I safely can with a sock overtop, and it still seems to move. I’m happy it’s sensitive enough to pick up change, and is loud enough to wake you, but the odd part is that as soon as baby stops kicking the placement is fine with no adjustment. Still, the peace of mind is worth the slight inconvenience. I do wish the health notifications told you what was wrong (ex oxygen, heart rate, etc - but it just says “baby needs your help to sleep better) as I had one apparently false alarm and couldn’t figure out why as his heart rate and oxygen were normal. Overall, I do recommend this product to new parents to help with safer sleep and peace of mind.
