I have a medically complex child, and we use the owlet to monitor his O2 levels when he is sleeping. I prefer the owlet to our traditional pulse oximeter because it does not false alarm for low O2 sats when the baby is wiggling, and the sensor is wireless which makes one less tube/wire attached to my kiddo. My child can's talk, so I don't have any reports on his preferences, but I do know that his owlet sock doesn't bother him. I also love that I can see my child's sats in the app on my phone no matter where I am. Our owlet has definitely saved my baby's life several times, and it allows me to get some rest knowing that he's constantly monitored.
My only complaints as a medical parent are that I wish the app allowed me to set alarm parameters. My child's pulm has a preferred O2 sat range based on my child, and being able to use that rather than what is preset would make things a bit easier.
I would recommend this to pretty much anyone, but especially parents of a medically complex baby or a recent NICU "grad."

I really love the owlet. As a first time mom, I am constantly waking up and checking my baby's breathing and health during naps/overnight. Will I continue to do this even while using the owlet, yes, but I love that this device tracks the oxygen/bmp and his sleep regularly.
This app also gives nap times based on his age and how much he has already napped through out the day. I use these as a guideline for our wake windows but they're almost always spot on when my baby starts showing signs of being tired so theyve been helpful!

A baby necessity could quite possibly be an understatement.
I had the owlet sock on my registry before joining due date groups. However, shortly after joining, i took it off. The sock was getting a bad name because of improper use and human error. Then, it was said they no longer monitored vitals, so there was no reason for me to get one.
Fast forward to my baby turning 1 month old. We had been up, around the clock for a solid month. My PPA wouldnt allow me to allow him to sleep without someone watching him. I read that the owlet was now FDA approved and was reading vitals so i ordered one! I was DESPERATE for it!
I got it 2 days later and we have all been sleeping well since then.
I was headed sharply towards postpartum depression, i was very sleep deprived, my husband was sleep deprived and my baby couldn't get quality sleep. Owlet quite possibly saved our lives.

Really great product. Definitely gives us a peace of mind while our little one is sleeping. It did give us a false red alert multiple times in a row and said her oxygen was low and then shot back up to 100, but that has only happened once. Highly recommend this product.

My son was born at 34, after a 21 day stay in the NICU, the owlet has given me such peace at home! The only problem we had at first was the fit! Baby’s foot was very small and the small sock was too big! We did solve the problem by putting a sock over the owlet!
