Good looking and efficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stove as part of our kitchen renovations. I haven’t had much time to use it but so far so good for the most part.
The expandable elements are useful.
The oven is spacious.
The controls are on the top of the front panel so you can’t see the clock or timer from a distance. Also, when I lean over the stove, I often touch one of the controls by accident and it beeps. Additionally, I find the timer confusing: I anticipated minute and seconds rather than hour an minute increments.
Guess there’s a learning curve! I do love the fact that the door does not have holes in the top panel to allow drips to stain the glass. I always had issues cleaning this in previous stoves.

Smooth Top Electric Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look with no back and the controls out front. But very disappointed in the smooth top. Hard to remove marks after cooking. Use the Afresh cleaner as recommended but still marks do not come off. I have used a soft sponge and you can see where I have rubbed trying to remove the cooking marks. Not very happy.
My old smooth top was extremely easy to keep clean.

Hello, Bonnie 53! We completely understand your concerns and apologize to hear that the cleaning of the cooktop differs from your previous model. We do recommend for the best cleaning performance on these cooktops to begin the cleaning process while the cooktop is still in the warm state for easier removal of the soils. While also completing the cleaning with the micro-fiber cloth for the complete polishing look on your cooktop. We will be glad to help you maximize the appearance of your new appliance; you may send us an email to canadasocial@kitchenaid.com. Please include your best contact number and the reference ID 218665246. Thank you -Cody

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a smooth cooktop before so I’m used to using it. This one is black and I find it marks easily. My previous cooktop was gray and much more forgiving, It is a learning curve and I’ll get the hang of it,but I wish it didn’t mark.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this installed and been using for a month. Love, love it. My one complaint is the stainless on the top where you set controls. I am super careful but find it scratches so easily.

Disapointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previous Kitchenaid range YKERS807SS04 was lost due to kitchen accident. The YKSEG700ESS3 was replacement chosen only because competitor model was n/a for several weeks. Didn’t want to buy the Kitchenaid because of the design changes. Product is good, design is poor. Surface display not as convenient as old models’ angled display... can’t view it from across kitchen to check oven status’. Single hot element light instead of individual indication for each element. Single element “ON” light instead of for each individual element. Like the oven door and standard appliance bulbs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first purchased a Frigidaire stove but sent that back as I really didn’t like it. Replaced it with this and I’m very happy with it. I must say though, The designers really fell off the boat with this new model.
I had another model pre-divorce and loved it, this one has a few things that I wonder about. If you have your “lock” on, you can’t use the timer nor can you use the oven light. Not a brilliant addition. As well, having the large burners in the front is really dumb. You have to contort yourself to get behind your big pots or fry pans to reach the small elements in the back. Previous model had small burners in the front and large in the back.
Oh and the really weak one ding for the timer.....come on you guys, one ding when the oven is preheated, one ding after the delay timer is complete. Step up to the plate next design and put the previous dings back please. I used to always know when my timer was going, it went go-ding, go-ding. This ones like a very weak ding. If you’re in another room you can’t hear it. the go-ding was loud and annoying and I loved it. And you can’t increase the sound either.
Now I’ll wondering how I’m going to like the cleaning mode...... anyway. Glad I have another Kitchen Aid

I am very happy with stove. Easy to clean and the baking and roasting is great!
The convection oven sure makes a difference in whatever you bake. Very quiet fan. Clean and simple exterior.
Love it all!

Great oven but buttons are frustrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the oven. However the buttons are hard to get used to. I keep trying to start the timer and accidentally turn the temperature to 5 degrees instead of timing fir 5 minutes. The bell for the timer also only makes a single sound that repeats every 15 seconds or so. It’s not that loud and could easily be missed.
