[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this on my carpets and it deep cleans very well my carpets and upholstery have never looked so clean i love the lift off feature the only complaint is the weight its kind of a pain to lift up my stairs but i can deal with that lol:)

Is it me or the cleaner?

Not sure what's going on but long story short, I fill up the one tank with water/cleaner and when I'm done sucking everything up out of the carpet I maybe get 1/4 of the water back out. Id say suction isn't the best & i'm extremely disappointed.. I just unboxed this unit so I don't believe there to be a problem with any of the components. Not sure what to do at this point
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a home and wanted to clean the carpets. I bought this machine since it had the separate lift off hand-held option to do the stairs. It was so easy to use and did a great job on the carpets.

Greasy Product until the suction stopped

It was fantastic until right after the one mark when it lost suction. I have only used it three times. I did all the troubleshooting tips which Bessel gave plus watched countless online videos. It is only sucking up about half a cup of water to 4 gallons ! Now I have to pay to have it repaired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The modular design allows for easy and quick spot cleaning, which we use a lot with kid's and dogs. We keep the main unit separate from the base so we can quickly grab it for spot cleaning. The full unit worked great for a thorough steam clean of our carpets. I recommend using a heavy soap run, then using water only for some rinse passes. The tanks are small and you have to stop to refill often on large cleans. However, we use it more for the occasional spot clean. Larger storage tanks would be nice. When the dirty water tank is full, you will hear the vacuum sound change as the floater moves up into the vacuum port (this wasn't clear at first). Overall, the quality of the clean with the full unit was awesome (most of the water is reclaimed and the carpets look great). I recommend pre-treating

Doesn't look professionally done but does clean most spots

I had high expectations but there were still worn dirty looking areas did not come clean. I used double strength. It does give the carpet a fresh clean look but worn discolored areas still look dirty.

This is the third carpet cleaner I have bought from Bissell. The first two were the exact same models but after a couple of uses, for some reason it just didn't want to go forward without excessive force. So, having two dogs, two boys, and white carpet, I NEEDED a good hard working machine. I went online and I read the reviews from normal people that bought these machines and looked for what I needed most. I needed one I could not only clean the carpet with but also one that I could pick up in an instant and clean an accident from my pets. After a lot of research, I decided on this model. Now I have only used it a few times but I have to say, I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!!! The first time I used it, I cleaned the whole floor. The next time was when I bought a "new" couch. I pulled the main machine off, and cleaned the couch, and an accident from my dog. I couldn't have been happier! It was so fast and easy!! So much better than having to pull out the whole machine and drag it around for just a quick clean-up. If I ever have to buy another carpet cleaner, it will definitely be THIS one!!!!!
