We live in the country and they are constantly in and out with no time to pause and wipe their feet or take off their shoes. The ProHeat 2x works great. We got it to clean the carpets in a home we just purchased. The carpets came out looking new and three shades lighter that we thought they were. The trick I found is to go slow, especially on the pull stroke. This gives the scrubbing and suction the most possible time to loosen and remove dirt. The only issue I have with the machine at all is that the location of the power cord. It is where it needs to be for the removal of the unit, but it is kind of a pain at times to manage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would never buy Bissell 1565 again

When I realized how much solution it was spraying on my carpet vs how much it was sucking back up. I got out my old Hoover carpet cleaner and sucked up about 1/4 more cleaning solution. Think of all the mold and mildew from the excess moisture. Shame on you Bissell for putting such a product on the market. I want to return it & get my money back. The pet cleaner part works ok but not the carpet shampooed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
