I bought this machine to replace another, non-functioning Bissell. I was originally very happy with the other machine, but it stopped working after several uses. The reason I chose to go with Bissell again is that, in general, I have had good results with the brand. I really like that the top comes off of the dirty water reservoir; this makes cleaning it a breeze! My only wish is that the base was a little heavier, so that the suction would be stronger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great! Cons, didn't realize the Clean water tank was so small, less than a gallon. A plus of less water on board is that it's not grotesquely heavy. The job I asked of it was huge, probably 7 or 8 years since carpet was cleaned. No pets or children, single woman only. I wouldn't recommend for a large area...simply because of the need to refill and empty it frequently.

No suction with upholstery attachment.

When I first purchased this cleaner, the upholstery attachment worked fine. Now there is no suction on the attachment. Water is sprayed out but there is no suction. I have taken everything apart and reattached. Any ideas?
