Happy with induction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New condo only offered electric and I am a preferred gas cooktop girl. Chose induction hoping it would have the control of gas. I am pleased with my choice. Heats quickly, adjusts immediate and after cooled it cleans up very easily, much more than gas. Not sure I like the placement of the sizes as the large is toward to the back and longer reach to saute' than with my prior Thermador gas range. Chose Bosch as this was a 30 amp opposed to the Thermador requiring 40 amp.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been living with this stove top for a few months now. I love to cook elaborate meals and use it several times a day.
It's functionality is absolutely awful. Like most anything made these days, they are entirely designed for asthetic, and not for functional reliable use.
Keep in mind as you read ahead what cooking is all about: Heat control
Lets start with the buttons:
The buttons are very slow and unresponsive. That alone renders this product as terrible. With a traditional stove top, setting a tempature, or turning of a burner is as simple as rotating a dial which takes fractions of a second. Instead we have buttons that control the "heat". On this stove top the "heat" cycle in increments of .5. To cycle from 0 to 10 takes exactly 10 seconds (I timed it). So imagine juggling multiple pans/pots where you need to attend the food. Instead of being able to flick a knob and turn of a burner in a matter of a second, you now have to hold a button for 7 seconds to turn your burner from 7 to off. You make think I'm being a nit, but I encourage you to think about this next time you are cooking your meal.
And WHY with the beeping. Why does everything these days need to beep so loud. You can turn it of when selecting heat ranges, but it's still there for everything else.

The Burners:
What was Bosch thinking when they placed the burners right up against oneanother? It's awful when you are trying to juggle multiple burners and the pots/pans are touching. There is no room for the handles, they have to point outwards to the sides.
And to put both of the large ones in the back? Majority of the cooking (unless you favor soup) is done in saute and frying pans which usually range at minumum in the 8"+ . The two front burners are BOTH 5.5" in diameter. Who on earth uses 5.5" diameter Anything? In addition, the burners emit a loud, pulsing, high frequency sound.

Icing on the cake is this stove top cost 2k!
See it in person BEFORE you buy. Try to imagine it with your cooking habits, your pots/pans, and in your kitchen!
I completely regret purchasing this product. I'm making plan to scrap it already and I'm looking forward to the day it's gone!

Great Induction Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this cooktop about a month and love it compared to our old regular electric cooktop. We decided to go with Bosch because we knew we would get a quality appliance. Induction cooking is great, you have great control over your cooking with the digital selection. We love the Speed Boost selection, it boils water and steams instantly (saving time and energy). Clean up is easy & simple because food does not burn onto the cooktop. It had a bit of a noise when you first start to cook but it gets quieter as you continue to cook.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You need good eye site

This is a great cook top and I was able to work it without reading the book BUT you need to understand that the line are where to pot belongs. I was used to a GE and the burners are determine by a circle this is different. Works well has a clean look and like all Bosch appliances it comes with beeps!!!!,
If by mistake you put an item on it BEEP BEEP BEEP!
This is the world we live in.the refrigerator beeps, the dishwasher beeps the oven beeps as well as this cook top.
At time it’s an orchestra .....but great products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good! Love my induction cooktop but I'm still learning how to operate the controls. It's very responsive as expected, and I've been able to cook some great meals. The controls are sometimes not as quick to respond as I would like. Still figureing out the amount of pressure needed.
