Very good induction cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my 4th induction cooktop in 5 years (and 3 different homes). This l the first was on a slide-in range and worked very well, the second was a very high end cooktop only that was flawless, the 3rd was a completely dysfunctional cooktop (Thor brand) that only heated the inner 5 inch diameter and did so inconsistently. I disconnected myself and returned it the first month, it was so bad. This Frigidaire model was the replacement. It was on sale from a mid range price and got decent reviews. I took a change and am glad I did. It works great and looks good too. My only complaint is when using the dual burners for griddle cooking the back heats higher than the front. Side from that, it functions as induction is meant to and I'm happy to be cooking evenly again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] System functions well. Getting used to the temperature controls requires some learning but once one has done that and has READ THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET, it will function very well. Very satisfied with its performance

We have installed it in our new kitchen and have yet to have it work for more than 3 minutes! We get error codes and can’t use it.

New Induction Cooktop Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you turn down the burner on a boiling pot, it immediately stops boiling. No boil over. Love the ease of temperature adjustment and having a timer built in to the cooktop. First thing I made was corned beef brisket, with all the trimmings. Perfect results!

Not the easiest to use and has a loud hum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to my purchase I had a different brand cooktop with the griddle option and loved it. With my purchase I made sure i had the same griddle option. My only complaint about the frigidaire brand is when I use the griddle option it makes a noise like a humming/whistling fan like a mini jet engine. I was not expecting that since my last cooktop did not do that. Slightly disappointing.
It is very simple to clean, water and a soft cloth. cleaners leave streaks.
I'm still getting the hang of increasing and decreasing temperature settings on the individual burners. My old cooktop had a plus and minus button to increase or decrease temp for each burner. The frigidaire i just purchased has a "slide" function for increasing or decreasing burner temp which sounds great but is not as easy to use and is some times tempermental.
Cook times have siginificantly decreased with my new cooktop and I love how quickly the burners cool to the touch.
So I would say this cooktop is not perfect, but still very nice.
